The Story of Rell
Rell was built before she was ever allowed to become herself.
The Black Rose, a faction operating within Noxus — a brutal, expansionist empire that measures worth by strength alone — subjected her to years of experimentation meant to twist her instinct for manipulating metal into a weapon of war. What she endured in that “academy” was closer to torment than education, and it ended only when she fought her way free, killing several of her former captors along the way.
A Fugitive’s War
Noxus has marked her a criminal since, which suits Rell fine — she has no interest in reconciling with the empire that raised her this way. She attacks Noxian soldiers wherever she finds them, searching in the meantime for any other survivors of the same experiments who might still be out there, and shielding ordinary people caught between her and her former captors.
Rell fills two roles at once, tanking in the top lane or supporting a duo bottom, spending mana to power a kit built almost entirely from stolen defenses. Break the Mold, her passive, has her attacks and abilities deal bonus magic damage while stealing Armor and Magic Resist on hit. Shattering Strike deals magic damage to enemies in a line, breaking their shields outright before stunning them. Ferromancy: Crash Down has her dismount from her armored horse in a crashing knockup that grants a large shield and, while dismounted, extra Armor, Magic Resist, Attack Speed, and Attack Range. Full Tilt grants passive Move Speed out of combat, and can be activated to speed both Rell and an ally toward whatever they are chasing, ending in an attack that explodes with bonus damage. Magnet Storm, her ultimate, pulls nearby enemies toward her before dragging them in place for several seconds — fitting, for someone who spent her childhood being pulled apart and reassembled without any say in the matter.
