The FACEIT platform is expanding the competitive composition of maps in Counter-Strike 2 — now there will be eight of them. Cache won the vote, which attracted almost 150,000 players. She will appear in the game on April 22, at the same time as the start of the eighth season.
The card cannot be called binding. If it is not one of your favorites, feel free to disable it through the settings. But for everyone else, Cache will be available in standard matchmaking around the clock and in all regions. And yes— the ELO rating system works on it in the same way as on other maps.
Cache is no stranger to the CS world. It was created back in 2013, and in CS:It quickly became a national hit. Valve, by the way, bought the rights from Sean “FMPONE” Snelling back in May 2025. So it’s only a matter of time before Cache appears in the official mappula. This is expected to happen before the end of 2026.
