Wolves protected their Ascent pick

EDG answered on Sunset
Sunset was EDward Gaming’s selection. The team started quickly and built a 9-3 advantage before the side change. Wolves improved after the break and won seven rounds. That response narrowed the score without removing EDG’s earlier lead.

A strong first half decided Haven
EDG carried its Sunset form into Haven. The team again reached nine rounds during the opening half. Wolves collected three rounds before changing sides. The six-round difference left little space for another recovery.

EDG changed the series through two stronger starts
EDward Gaming reached nine first-half rounds on both Sunset and Haven. Those openings reduced the pressure during each second half. Wolves had produced the better recovery on Ascent. EDG prevented the same pattern by protecting a wider lead on the next maps.
Sunset still became competitive after the side change. Haven ended sooner because Wolves could not build another long response. The repeated 9-3 opening scores gave EDG a stable base. Four later round wins were enough on each successful map.
The lower-bracket result reflected the full series
Wolves won their chosen map and remained close on EDG’s selection. The deciding map produced the only wide difference. CHICHOO and Yosemite led their teams across the full match. Both finished with positive kill differences after three maps.
