Evil Geniuses defeated FURIA 2-0 during week four of VCT Americas Stage 2. EG won 13-11 on the map named Summit before taking Breeze by a much wider 13-3 score.
The victory ended a run of two 2-0 defeats for Evil Geniuses. FURIA had not won a series in the current group.
Evil Geniuses opened the series on the map named Summit
FURIA removed Lotus before selecting the map named Summit as the opener. Evil Geniuses removed Split and chose Breeze for the second map. FURIA later removed Ascent, while EG removed Sunset. Haven remained available but was not required after two maps. The opening map named Summit became the longer and more balanced contest. Both sides created attacking runs without controlling the entire map.
EG reached thirteen rounds while FURIA finished with eleven. The two-round gap kept the opener close until the final defensive sequence. Supamen recorded nineteen kills for Evil Geniuses on the opening map. Dgzin added seventeen and helped EG win several opening duels. Basic recorded twenty-two kills for FURIA during the map. His output kept the Brazilian roster close during the final 13-11 defeat.
Evil Geniuses won 13-11 on the map named Summit
The map named Summit lasted more than one hour and demanded repeated resets. Neither side could rely on an early advantage to secure the result. FURIA reached double figures and remained within one successful round of overtime. Evil Geniuses closed before the score reached twelve each. Bao and zerona supported the EG attack through traded fights. Paincakes also helped the team protect difficult post-plant situations.
Shyy, C0M and koalanoob helped FURIA win important rounds. The roster could not win the final rounds needed to reach overtime. Winning the opening map changed the pressure before Breeze. EG moved onto its own selection with one map already secured. FURIA needed an immediate reply to keep the series alive. The second map instead produced the largest gap of the match.

Evil Geniuses won Breeze 13-3
Evil Geniuses controlled Breeze from the opening stages. The team reached thirteen rounds while FURIA collected only three. Dgzin produced nineteen kills and finished several rounds before FURIA could settle. Bao added sixteen kills during the same map. EG converted its early advantages into complete round wins more often than on the opener. The team gave FURIA little room for a sustained recovery.
Breeze lasted slightly more than thirty-seven minutes. That was much shorter than the long opening map. FURIA could not reproduce Basic’s impact from the first selection. The team struggled to create enough successful openings on either side. The 13-3 score completed the 2-0 series before Haven was needed. It also gave EG a direct response after recent losses to Leviatan and MIBR.
EG won 13-11 on Summit and 13-3 on Breeze
The opening map required patience during the close final rounds. Evil Geniuses then built an early lead and closed Breeze much faster. EG won twenty-six rounds across the match. FURIA collected fourteen, with most of those rounds coming during the first map. The full round difference reached twelve. That figure reflects the dominant Breeze score more than the narrow Summit contest. Supamen and dgzin recorded steady kill totals across the series. Bao’s stronger second map helped EG close the series in two maps.
FURIA showed resistance during Summit but lost control on Breeze. The roster never created the long run needed to reopen the series. A two-map result also reduced the strain of a late third selection. Evil Geniuses completed its work after one close map and a 13-3 win. The first map lasted about sixty-five minutes, while Breeze ended in thirty-seven. The contrast matched the changing score and pace.

Evil Geniuses improve their group record
Evil Geniuses had opened Stage 2 with a 2-0 win over ENVY. Two later defeats made the FURIA match a chance to return to winning form. The 2-0 result gave EG its second series victory of the group. It also improved the team’s map record before the closing schedule. FURIA had already taken one map from ENVY in week three. The team could not turn that progress into a series victory against EG.
The direct result now separates the teams more clearly. Evil Geniuses own two completed wins, while FURIA continue to seek their first. EG’s final group position will depend on the remaining matches. The 2-0 score also improved the team’s difference between maps won and lost. FURIA were more competitive on the first map. Breeze showed the larger gap between the teams during this series.
