Titan Esports Club beat KeepBest Gaming 2-1 in the VCT China Stage 2 play-ins. KBG won Sunset 13-10 before Titan answered on Summit. The deciding map ended 13-2 on Ascent.
Titan advanced in the upper bracket after the victory. KBG moved into the lower bracket after losing two consecutive maps. The series lasted three maps and included one overtime.
KBG took the first lead on Sunset
KeepBest selected Sunset and built an 8-4 lead on attack. Titan improved after changing sides and reduced the gap. KBG still found five defensive rounds and closed the map 13-10. Krst1Ng led KBG’s scoring on the opening map. Tonk, Akeman and Ying supported him through the close finish. Their combined work protected the advantage during Titan’s late recovery.
Ra1ny helped Titan recover during the second half. Haodong played Cypher throughout the map. The early deficit remained too large. The opener lasted just over an hour. KBG converted its own map choice and moved one win from the upper-bracket victory.
Summit changed the direction of the series
Titan selected Summit and produced a much closer contest. Both halves ended 6-6, so the map moved into overtime. Titan then won the extra rounds and completed a 16-14 result. Haodong delivered Titan’s strongest performance on Cypher. Dynamite and ra1ny also won important duels. Their work kept Titan alive when KBG approached a series victory.
Akeman was KBG’s leading scorer on Summit. Sibeastw0w supported him with assists and utility. KBG stayed level through regulation but lost the final overtime rounds. The narrow finish changed the match completely. Titan had levelled the score after losing the opener. Ascent then became the single map that decided the upper-bracket place.

Titan controlled the Ascent decider
Titan began Ascent on defence and won nine of the first ten rounds. KBG could not build a stable attack. The half ended 11-1 and left little room for a comeback. Titan added the first two rounds after the side change. KBG collected one attacking reply before the map ended 13-2. The decider was much shorter than the first two maps.
Dynamite led the short map with an efficient Phoenix performance. Haodong and lucas also won their early duels. Titan’s defence allowed few clean entries and protected the lead. KBG never found the rhythm shown on Sunset and Summit. The team had already played two long maps, but Titan controlled the decider from the start.
The three maps produced different contests
KBG won the Sunset map after a stronger first half. Summit stayed level until overtime. Titan dominated Ascent after winning nine of the first ten defensive rounds. The veto began with KBG removing Split and Titan removing Lotus. KBG then chose Sunset, while Titan selected Summit. Haven and Breeze were removed before Ascent remained.
Titan lost its opponent’s choice but protected its own map in overtime. The team then carried that momentum into the decider. The final 13-2 score settled the series without another close finish. Haodong remained central across three maps
Haodong remained consistent across all three maps. His strongest performance came on Summit, where Titan faced elimination. He also contributed during the short Ascent victory. Dynamite matched Haodong’s overall impact and led the Ascent finish. Ra1ny supplied another aggressive option throughout the series. Titan therefore had several players producing decisive rounds.
Akeman led KeepBest across the match and was strongest on Summit. Tonk, Krst1Ng, sibeastw0w and Ying all produced important rounds during the first two maps. The individual records reflect the match shape. Summit produced the longest contest and the greatest workload. Ascent ended quickly after Titan took early control.

The bracket gives both teams another match
