100 Thieves recover after Sunset overtime and beat G2 on Haven

100 Thieves beat G2 Esports 2-1 in VCT Americas Stage 2. They opened with a 13-4 win on Breeze. G2 took Sunset 16-14, before 100 Thieves recovered on Haven. The decider ended 13-10 and proved that 100 Thieves had recovered from the long second map.

Asuna led the winners with 61 kills, 45 deaths and a 1.23 rating. G2’s jawgemo recorded 60 kills and an 11-3 advantage in opening duels. Both teams produced one outstanding individual total during the series. However, 100 Thieves received enough support across all five roles.

Breeze created an immediate advantage for 100 Thieves

100 Thieves selected Breeze and won the map 13-4. They led 10-2 after their attacking half. Three more rounds after the switch completed their own map pick.

G2 won the opening two rounds before 100 Thieves won ten straight. That run produced the 10-2 half. G2 took two early rounds after the switch, but 100 Thieves closed at 13-4.

G2 answered on the next map instead of repeating that score. Sunset lasted 30 rounds and required overtime. The response kept the series open until Haven.

Breeze lasted 48 minutes and 57 seconds. The opening ten-round run decided most of the margin. G2 never reduced the deficit below seven after halftime.

Asuna recorded 20 kills and only nine deaths on Breeze. Timotino added 15 kills. Every 100 Thieves player finished the map with at least ten.

G2’s five players combined for only 41 kills on Breeze. 100 Thieves recorded 69. That 28-kill difference matched the one-sided 13-4 score.

Sunset ended 16-14 after thirty rounds

G2 selected Sunset and trailed 5-7 after the first half. G2 then won seven defensive rounds while 100 Thieves won five. The 12-12 score moved the map into overtime.

100 Thieves led 7-3 before G2 recovered to 11-9. Two 100 Thieves rounds then tied the score at 11-11. The teams traded pairs until 14-14, when G2 won the final two rounds.

G2 won four of the six overtime rounds. That sequence produced the 16-14 score and forced Haven. Sunset lasted 30 rounds after Breeze had lasted only 17.

The series was level despite the large Breeze margin. G2 had won 20 rounds and 100 Thieves had won 27. Haven still decided the match without carrying those earlier margins forward.

Sunset lasted one hour, seven minutes and 19 seconds. It was the longest map in the series. Six overtime rounds followed the 12-12 regulation score.

jawgemo produced 24 kills during G2’s Sunset victory. BABYBAY added 21 and trent reached 19. Asuna led 100 Thieves with 22 kills.

G2 won the final attacking and defensive rounds at 14-14. That pair ended the map. No third overtime cycle was required.

100 Thieves won six of the last eight Haven rounds

Haven ended 13-10 for 100 Thieves. The decider stayed inside regulation after Sunset required six extra rounds. The winners reached 13 before G2 could level the score again.

100 Thieves led 5-1 early and reached halftime at 8-4. They later moved to 12-8. G2 won two rounds at match point before 100 Thieves completed the 13-10 result.

The 23-round decider was much closer than Breeze. It produced the final three-round margin after the long Sunset defeat.

G2 remained two rounds short of another 12-12 score. Their opening duels created chances, especially through jawgemo. The final score shows those starts did not produce enough completed rounds.

Asuna added 19 kills on Haven and finished six above his deaths. Timotino recorded 25 kills on the decider. That was the highest map total for either team.

jawgemo reached 22 kills during G2’s final map. The remaining four teammates combined for 45. 100 Thieves stopped the comeback before regulation ended.

Haven contained 23 rounds and stayed shorter than Sunset. The series ended after 70 completed rounds. 100 Thieves won 40 of them.

Asuna led a balanced winning lineup

Asuna finished with 61 kills and only 45 deaths. His plus-16 difference was the best in the match. He also added 26 assists, which shows value beyond direct finishes. A 1.23 rating across three maps made him the leading performer on the winning side.

Timotino added 56 kills and a 237 average combat score. Cryocells recorded 45 kills with 43 deaths. bang finished plus-two at 46-44, while vora contributed 45 kills and 22 assists.

Every 100 Thieves player reached at least 45 kills. G2 had only two players above that mark. The wider output supported the winning side across all three maps.

Asuna’s map totals were 20, 22 and 19 kills. Timotino recorded 15, 16 and 25. Their combined Haven output reached 44 kills.

Cryocells finished with 30 kills before the final map. He added 15 on Haven. bang and vora completed the lineup with 46 and 45 series kills.

jawgemo led G2 but needed more support

jawgemo led G2 with 60 kills, 54 deaths and a 258 average combat score. His 11 opening kills against only three opening deaths were the clearest entry numbers in the series. He repeatedly gave G2 a first-player advantage.

The remaining G2 players all finished with more deaths than kills. valyn had 46 kills, trent 39, BABYBAY 45 and leaf 40. Their assists remained useful, but the team depended on jawgemo to create many of its cleanest starts.

jawgemo won eleven opening duels and lost only three. No teammate matched that opening difference. G2 still finished ten rounds behind across the full series.

100 Thieves won 40 rounds and G2 won 30. Nine rounds of that difference came from Breeze. Sunset and Haven added only one round to the final gap.

Breeze was the 100 Thieves pick, while Sunset belonged to G2. Both teams won their selected map. Haven then gave 100 Thieves the deciding result.

Asuna finished with 61 kills, one more than jawgemo. His plus-16 kill difference led the match. The team result followed the same narrow individual comparison.
