Zeus produced the highest kill total in the server with 64 for Team Secret. VARREL answered through a more even leading group. Foxy9 finished with 59 kills, XuNa added 50, and Zexy recorded 49.

That spread helped VARREL recover after losing the second map.
VARREL won Split 13-6
The opening map gave VARREL the largest margin of the series. Team Secret collected six rounds before VARREL reached the winning score.
Split placed VARREL one map ahead. Team Secret then answered on Haven and extended the match.
Team Secret selected Split, but VARREL won it in one hour, 14 minutes and nine seconds. VARREL led the first half 10-2. Team Secret took four of the seven second-half rounds, yet the opening gap remained large enough for a 13-6 finish.
Team Secret answered 13-9 on Haven
The second map moved in the opposite direction. Team Secret won by four rounds and levelled the series at one map each.
Haven was Team Secret’s only map victory. It sent the opener to a deciding game on Summit.
VARREL selected Haven, which Team Secret won 13-9 in 43 minutes and 16 seconds. Team Secret led 7-5 at half-time and won the second side 6-4. Summit lasted 52 minutes and 45 seconds. It was level 6-6 before VARREL took the second half 7-5.
Summit ended 13-11 for VARREL
The decider was the closest map of the match. Team Secret reached 11 rounds, but VARREL took the final two-round margin.
That result completed VARREL’s 2-1 victory. No overtime was required on any of the three maps.
Foxy9 recorded 59 kills, 42 deaths and ten assists for VARREL. Xuna added 50 kills and 21 assists. Zexy had 49 kills, oonzmlp finished with 46 kills and 31 assists, and C1ndeR recorded 30 kills with 26 assists.

Zeus finished with 64 kills, 46 deaths and 11 assists for Team Secret. Sylvan added 49 kills and 19 assists. Styron recorded 38 kills, kellyS had 37 and natz had 34. Zeus also took 18 first kills, six more than any VARREL player.

The three maps produced three different margins
Split ended by seven rounds, Haven by four and Summit by two. The distance narrowed as the series moved toward its deciding map.
VARREL won the widest and the closest contests. Team Secret won the middle map and remained within two rounds on the decider.
Split was VARREL’s choice and they controlled it 13-6. Winning a pick is important, but the way they did it mattered more.
The nine-round margin gave the team room to use normal purchases, protect weapons and avoid desperate decisions late in the half.

Zeus found more useful space, while the rest of the lineup gave him enough information and support to keep pressure on VARREL.

VARREL had beaten Team Secret by the same series score in the Pacific qualifier in May. The Stage 2 match adds a second recent 2-1 result.

The map scores were not identical, so each match remains a separate event. The present report concerns only the July opener.
The decider reached 11-11 before VARREL took the last two rounds for a 13-11 finish. At that score, both teams already understand the opponent’s main ideas.
The final difference usually comes from a clean trade, one saved piece of utility or a player refusing an unnecessary chase.
