Gen.G defeated ZETA DIVISION 2-0 in VCT Pacific Stage 2. Gen.G won Ascent 13-7 and then survived a much tighter Sunset 16-14.
The series moved from a controlled opening map to an overtime finish that tested whether Gen.G could stay organised after ZETA raised the pressure.
Karon led the match with 52 kills, 29 deaths and 16 assists. T3xture added 43 kills for Gen.G.

Gen.G opened with a 13-7 win on Ascent
The first map produced a six-round margin. Gen.G reached 13 without allowing ZETA DIVISION to bring the score into a close final phase.
Ascent gave Gen.G the opening point in the series. Sunset then created a much longer second map.
Gen.G selected Ascent, which lasted one hour, 22 minutes and four seconds. The first half was level at 6-6. Gen.G then won seven of the eight rounds after the side change to complete the 13-7 map.
Sunset continued to a 16-14 finish
ZETA forced the map beyond regulation and reached 14 rounds. Gen.G took the final two-round advantage and avoided a third map.
The overtime result completed the 2-0 series. It was much closer than the six-round win on Ascent.
ZETA selected Sunset and pushed it to one hour, 13 minutes and two seconds. ZETA held a 7-5 half-time lead, before Gen.G took the second side by the same 7-5 score. Four extra rounds followed, with Gen.G taking the final 16-14 result.
Karon recorded 52 kills in two maps
Karon finished with 52 kills, 29 deaths and 16 assists. He led the match kill count while playing for Gen.G.
The raw line gives Karon’s direct statistical record from the completed series.
Raxcal recorded 31 kills, 33 deaths and 16 assists for Gen.G. Efina had 30 kills and 14 assists, while Ash finished with 32 kills and 11 assists. T3xture took nine first kills and suffered six first deaths across the two maps.

The second map added ten more rounds than the first
Ascent lasted 20 rounds, while Sunset lasted 30. The difference came from ZETA’s stronger second-map score and the overtime period.
Gen.G won both types of contest. One ended with space to spare and the other stayed open until the last extra rounds.

The match was part of the Pacific Stage 2 competition overview.
Syouta led ZETA with 41 kills. EKo added 39 kills and 21 assists. Xdll recorded 34 kills, Absol had 31 and SugarZ3ro finished with 21 kills and 23 assists. EKo did not suffer a first death in the complete series.
ZETA reached overtime but did not take a map
The 14 rounds on Sunset extended the contest but did not level the series or force a decider.
ZETA won seven rounds on Ascent and 14 on Sunset. Gen.G still took both maps and the series.
The 13-7 result allowed Gen.G to play from a healthier economy and make ZETA take more risks. Ascent can become difficult when a team loses mid control and reaches a site with little time.
Gen.G repeatedly made the map feel smaller before the final hit.
Gen.G completed 50 rounds without a third map
The two played maps contained 50 rounds in total. Gen.G won 29 of them and ZETA won 21.
Round totals offer context for the sweep. They show that the long Sunset contest made the match closer than the map count alone suggests.
ZETA did not allow the first score to define the series. They pushed Sunset through regulation and into overtime. A 16-14 map means both sides found answers and both also missed chances to close before the final pair of rounds.
The result belongs to the Stage 2 opener
Gen.G take one series win from their first Pacific Stage 2 fixture. ZETA leave the same match without a series or map victory.
Both teams continue in the Pacific Stage 2 group phase after this opening result.
Fifty-two kills across two maps is a large total, but 29 deaths make the number more valuable. Karon was not trading one life for one kill. He stayed available for later parts of rounds and forced ZETA to clear his position more than once.

Gen.G close both maps and take the opening win
Gen.G won Ascent 13-7 and Sunset 16-14. Karon led the raw kill statistics with 52.
Ascent gave Gen.G the early lead, while the 16-14 Sunset finish showed that they could close the longer map.
Gen.G leave with two map wins, a standout Karon performance and proof that they can close overtime. The result does not promise the outcome of the whole stage. One match only sets the starting point.
Gen.G won 29 rounds against ZETA’s 21. Karon also finished 23 kills above his death total, the largest positive difference among the ten players in the series.
