Leviatan defeated FURIA 2-1 in the opening week of VCT Americas Stage 2. Leviatan won Haven 13-8, suffered a 1-13 loss on Sunset and recovered to take Split 13-8.
The two winning maps were controlled, but the middle map showed how quickly a series can become unstable.

Sato recorded 50 kills, 47 deaths and 20 assists for Leviatan. His teammate Neon finished with 49 kills, 33 deaths and 14 assists. Both totals belong to the winning lineup.
Leviatan took Haven 13-8
The opening map gave Leviatan a five-round win. They reached 13 before FURIA could close the gap and moved one map ahead in the series.
Haven created the first part of Leviatan’s victory. The match then changed sharply on FURIA’s next map.
FURIA selected Haven, but Leviatan won the map in one hour, seven minutes and 52 seconds. Leviatan led 9-3 after the opening half and then split the second half 4-5. That sequence produced the 13-8 score before the series moved to Sunset.
FURIA levelled the series with a 13-1 Sunset
Sunset was the widest result of the day. FURIA allowed Leviatan only one round and forced the match into a deciding third map.
The 12-round margin did not carry into the decider. It remains a separate map result inside a series that FURIA eventually lost.
Sunset was Leviatan’s selection and lasted 31 minutes and 56 seconds. FURIA led the first half 11-1 and won both second-half rounds. Split lasted 54 minutes and 58 seconds.
The teams were level 6-6 at half-time before Leviatan won the second side 7-2.
Split returned the score to 13-8 for Leviatan
Leviatan answered the heavy Sunset defeat by winning Split. The deciding map ended with the same five-round margin as Haven.
Taking the first and third maps produced the 2-1 series result. FURIA’s middle-map win could not change that final count.
Kingg added 33 kills, 35 deaths and 18 assists for Leviatan. Blowz finished with 30 kills and 19 assists, while spike recorded 36 kills. Spike also took 11 first kills, the highest number on his team, but suffered 14 first deaths across the match.

Sato was a Leviatan player in this match
Sato recorded 50 kills, 47 deaths and 20 assists across the series. Every part of that line belongs to Leviatan’s winning lineup.
Sato’s 50 kills were the highest total in Leviatan’s lineup, one ahead of Neon’s 49. He also added 20 assists.
The result becomes part of the wider Americas group-stage format.
Basic led FURIA with 46 kills, 35 deaths and 27 assists. Eeiu followed with 45 kills, 36 deaths and 25 assists. Shyy recorded 41 kills, koalanoob had 37 and artzin had 29.
Those figures explain how FURIA dominated Sunset even though Leviatan won the other two maps.
Neon finished with 49 kills and 33 deaths
Neon also represented Leviatan. His match line included 49 kills, 33 deaths and 14 assists over the three maps.
The raw statistics show Neon’s 16-kill positive difference across the series.
The 13-8 opener allowed Leviatan to control the first economy and make FURIA respond. Haven rewards teams that move information quickly across three sites.
Leviatan found enough early reads to avoid repeated late rotations and reached the final fights with players alive.
The two Leviatan wins had matching scores
Haven and Split both ended 13-8. That symmetry surrounds a 1-13 loss, making the full score line unusual but easy to verify.
The series contained 56 rounds in total. Leviatan won enough rounds on two maps to take the match despite the large overall loss on Sunset.
A 1-13 score points to failure across several systems at once. FURIA controlled the opening duels, economy and rhythm.
Leviatan could not create a stable full-buy cycle and each attempted adjustment arrived while the opponent already had another answer.

FURIA earned one map but not the series
FURIA’s Sunset performance gave them a clear map win. They did not reach ten rounds on either Haven or Split.
The standings record therefore shows a 2-1 victory for Leviatan. The individual map scores preserve the scale of FURIA’s response.
Leviatan won the decider by the same 13-8 score as Haven. Split often rewards coordinated site pressure and disciplined defence around narrow lanes. The team returned to trading and timing instead of trying to erase Sunset through individual plays.
Leviatan take the series despite losing more rounds overall
Leviatan start Stage 2 with two map wins. FURIA’s 13-1 victory on Sunset was not enough to take the series.
Qualification remains open after one fixture. Haven, Sunset and Split produced the first result for both teams in the group.
Leviatan won 26 rounds across Haven and Split while FURIA won 16. On Sunset, FURIA won 13 of 14. The series therefore was not a steady exchange of small advantages. Each side had periods of strong control and one side managed the transitions better.
Leviatan won 27 rounds and FURIA won 29, yet Leviatan took two of the three maps. The unusual split shows how a 13-1 map can lead the round total without deciding the series.
