Sentinels began VCT Americas Stage 2 with a 2-1 victory over Cloud9. They won Summit 13-4, lost Haven 11-13 and closed Lotus 16-14 after overtime.
The series changed from a one-sided opening map into a long test of economy, communication and late-round control.
Cortezia led Sentinels with 61 kills, 47 deaths and 23 assists. Reduxx added 58 kills, 46 deaths and 22 assists. Marved finished his return to VCT with 41 kills and 32 assists as the temporary replacement for johnqt.

Sentinels opened the series with a 13-4 win on Summit
Summit was the shortest map of the match. Sentinels built an early advantage and gave Cloud9 only four rounds before closing their own selection.
The nine-round margin put Sentinels one map ahead. It did not decide the series because Cloud9 had Haven next in the order.
Cloud9 selected Summit, but Sentinels won it in 48 minutes and 10 seconds. Sentinels led 8-4 after the first half and took all five rounds after the side change. Haven lasted 49 minutes and 39 seconds.
Cloud9 led that map 7-5 at half-time, and both teams then won six rounds on the second side.
Cloud9 answered 13-11 on Haven
The second map stayed close through the late rounds. Cloud9 reached 13 first and stopped Sentinels at 11, which levelled the series at one map each.
Haven was the only map won by Cloud9. Its two-round margin also showed a much tighter contest than the opening map.
Lotus lasted one hour, eight minutes and 47 seconds. Sentinels trailed 5-7 after the first half and answered with a 7-5 second half. In overtime, they won four rounds while Cloud9 won two.
The sequence created the final 16-14 score without changing the correct map order.
Lotus required overtime before the winner was known
Neither team reached a winning margin in regulation on Lotus. The map continued into extra rounds with the whole series attached to each result.
Sentinels completed the decider 16-14. That score gave them a 2-1 victory after 58 total rounds across the three maps.
JonahP recorded 42 kills, 43 deaths and 19 assists for Sentinels. Jerrwin finished with 47 kills, 50 deaths and 15 assists. On Cloud9, OXY had 57 kills, v1c had 55, FireBallOps had 44, Zellsis had 40 and Jackk had 35.
These are full-series totals across all three maps.

Cortezia led the match for Sentinels
Cortezia recorded 61 kills, 47 deaths and 23 assists. He represented Sentinels and finished with the highest kill total in the series.
The correction matters because his statistics belong on the winning side. He was not part of Cloud9’s lineup in this match.
The win opens a group stage whose qualification stakes are described in the Americas Stage 2 competition guide.
OXY took 14 first kills and suffered 17 first deaths, both the highest such totals in the series. V1c finished seven kills above his deaths and added 27 assists. Jackk produced 24 assists, while FireBallOps had 19 and Zellsis had 20.
The complete lines show contributions beyond the two leading Sentinels totals.
Reduxx added 58 kills to the Sentinels total
Reduxx finished three kills behind cortezia. His output gave Sentinels a second player near the top of the match list across a long three-map series.
The two totals include the overtime rounds on Lotus and show the leading Sentinels output.
A 13-4 map usually begins with control of several small areas. Sentinels denied Cloud9 the space used to build comfortable attacks and converted the early advantages.
The score also let the temporary lineup play without facing a difficult economy every round.
Marved returned in a supporting statistical line
Marved finished with 41 kills, 45 deaths and 32 assists. The assist total records his contribution across all three maps without turning the appearance into a wider roster claim.
Sentinels used the available lineup for the Stage 2 opener. Later selections remain separate from this completed match.

The second map was much closer and ended 13-11 for Cloud9. That response mattered after the heavy first defeat.
The team slowed the series, found more opening value and forced Sentinels to defend across three sites rather than repeat the same comfortable reads.
The map order produced three different margins
Summit ended by nine rounds, Haven by two and Lotus by two after overtime. The scores show how the series moved from a one-sided opener to two close finishes.
Sentinels won the first and third maps. Cloud9 won the middle map, leaving the official series score at 2-1.
The final map reached 14-14 before Sentinels won the next two rounds. Overtime removes the safety of a large bank and asks each side to win on both attack and defence. One loose opening duel can decide the whole series.
The opening result belongs to Sentinels
The victory gives Sentinels their first completed result of Americas Stage 2. Cloud9 leave the same fixture with one map win but no series win.
Later group matches will add new standings information. The present report ends with the completed score and the correct player identities.
Marved had not played a top VCT match for more than two years. He entered because johnqt was recovering from surgery.
The 32 assists show a practical route into the team: place utility on time, share information and help the active stars take cleaner fights.
Across the full match, Sentinels won 40 rounds and Cloud9 won 31. The 13-4 opening map created most of that difference before Haven and Lotus produced much closer scores.
