Xipto Esports have signed the full 555 roster before VCT Pacific Stage 2 Play-Ins. The move includes all five Thai players and head coach ASI. Assistant coach bnwgiggs also joins in a behind-the-scenes role. The organisation confirmed the change on July 16.
The new players are canady, doffy, aLerT, Surf and endoist. They earned the Play-In place under the 555 name by winning the Pacific Challengers last-chance qualifier. Signing the complete core keeps the qualified lineup together. It is not a merger with XERXIA or another former team.
The whole qualified group moved
Xipto did not select one or two players from 555. The organisation signed the complete active five and their head coach. That decision preserves the roster identity that won qualification. Staff member bnwgiggs also followed the group into Xipto.
The qualified place belongs to the five Thai players who competed as 555. Xipto now provide the organisation name under which they enter the Play-In. The roster has changed its banner without breaking up the lineup that won the qualifier.
Signing the complete five avoids a late trial between players from unrelated systems. Canady, doffy, aLerT, Surf and endoist qualified together under the 555 name. ASI coached that run. Xipto can therefore enter the Play-Ins with the group that earned the place, although the new organisation and event setting still create additional pressure.
The route through Southeast Asia
555 formed at the start of 2026 and won the Thailand qualifier for SEA Split 1. The team later finished third in Split 1. It placed second in the Thailand route to Split 2 and continued into the regional competition.
Sharper Esports secured the direct Play-In place from SEA Split 2. That result sent 555 into the Pacific last-chance qualifier. The team therefore reached the VCT opportunity through another bracket rather than direct qualification.
The last-chance route required recovery inside the same qualifier. After losing the upper final to Fancy United, 555 beat Yiwei and then faced Fancy United again. The 3-0 rematch reversed the earlier defeat and secured qualification. That sequence gives a stronger account of their path than treating the final sweep as an isolated result.
A comeback in the last-chance qualifier
555 beat No Salary Peek 2-1 in the opening match. Fancy United then defeated them in the upper final. The Thai team recovered by beating Yi-Jing in the lower final. It met Fancy United again in the grand final.
Xipto will share the wider Stage 2 calendar with PCIFIC’s roster change before EMEA Stage 2.
The rematch ended 3-0 for 555. That victory secured the Pacific Stage 2 Play-In place. It also completed the competitive record that Xipto acquired with the roster. The organisation did not receive a separate invitation.
Surf’s international history includes appearances with XERXIA and Talon. The other four players now enter a higher stage beside him under the Xipto name. That mix gives the roster one member with previous international VCT experience and four players arriving through the 2026 Challengers route.

Surf brings earlier VCT experience
Surf is the only player in the five with previous VCT and major international experience. He played for XERXIA at Masters Reykjavik, Masters Copenhagen and Champions in 2022. He later represented Talon in VCT Pacific during 2024.
Canady, doffy, aLerT and endoist now receive their first opportunity against partnered Pacific teams. Surf’s past does not turn the roster into XERXIA. It provides one experienced reference inside a newer group.
Play-In qualification does not place Xipto directly in the Stage 2 playoffs. The team must progress through the double-elimination bracket against VCT and Challengers opponents. A first loss does not always end the run, but it reduces the remaining route. The current achievement is earning entry with the full Thai core; advancement still has to be won.
How the Play-In works
Twelve teams enter the Pacific Stage 2 Play-In. Eight come from the VCT group stage, while four arrive from Challengers. The bracket uses double elimination. Four teams advance from the Play-In into the main Stage 2 playoffs.
Third- and fourth-placed VCT group teams receive an upper-bracket bye. Challengers teams begin in the first upper round. Xipto therefore require several series against experienced opposition. No match result is guaranteed by the qualification run.
The current Xipto roster
Xipto list canady, doffy, aLerT, Surf and endoist as players. ASI is head coach, and bnwgiggs works with the staff. These names define the team entering Play-Ins. Earlier XERXIA and Surf lineups are not the current Xipto team.
The announcement confirms the roster and its qualification history. Contracts, salaries and detailed roles on each map remain private. The public competitive record begins with the preserved 555 core and continues under the Xipto name.
