Team SMG has resold its MLBB roster, ushering in a new era for the team
In a statement posted on their Facebook page, Team SMG announced that their MLBB roster has been acquired by another organization.
With mixed emotions, we announce that our MLBB team has been acquired by a new organization. While this signifies the end of our chapter as we know it, it opens new exciting doors for our players,” stated Team SMG.

The SMG team is completely sold out
The team’s final lineup included the following players:
- (team captain) Lu Khai “Sasa” Bin
- Eliff Adam “Smooth” Md Ariff
- Wan Mohamad “Subway” Danish Safwan Bin Mohd Sakirin Earlier this month, Filipino roamer Deomark “Mikko” Thabangay was announced as part of the Burn x Flash line-up in Cambodia. Meanwhile, Kenneth “Saksa” Fedelin was acquired by Burmese Ghouls, while Dane Hazzik Bin Mohamad Rizwan, aka “Stormy”, moved to Malaysian team Yoodo Red Giants Esports.
SMG team has been active in the MLBB professional scene from 2020 to 2023, successfully qualifying for the M3 and M5 World Championships.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to our incredible fans. You have been the heart and soul of our journey, cheering us on in every victory and defeat. The memories we have created together from 2020 to 2023 will forever hold a special place in our hearts,” stated the SMG team.
What’s next for the team?
The organization added, “We have gone through the ups and downs, fighting for our first victory in the MPL and representing Malaysia at the M3 and M5 World Championships. We have no doubt that you will continue to achieve great success in the future. While our MLBB team may move to a new home, the legacy we have built together will endure. We will always cherish the moments we shared and the impact we made in the esports community.”
Team SMG still maintains teams in Malaysia for PUBGM and DOTA2, as well as their PUBGM Peacekeeper Elite team in China.
