Although the sensations from hitting enemies are a little smoothed out (which even adds credibility), the weapons sound convincing – with characteristic claps and noticeable recoil, and the enemies fall quickly. At the same time, they are not stupid: they go around the flanks, throw grenades, press with fire and call for reinforcements. Sometimes they can ruin the mood, but they do not let you get bored. And if you add C4, grenades and the ability to cause explosions to the equation, you can turn into a local James Bond. And hitting enemies with a yo-yo is both effective and fun. There is also something to say about transport. In the first part, the cars were, to put it mildly, not very good. They were controlled like cardboard boxes. But the sequel more than makes up for it. Yes, cheap cars still feel like toys on the remote control, but a little more expensive – and you immediately feel the difference: the engine rumbles, the gearbox clicks, and the wheels firmly cling to the road. Each model behaves in its own way: muscle cars roar and rush forward with a squeal, electric cars are almost silent, but are controlled smoothly and confidently.

The main thing is that the control has become truly enjoyable. The cars are predictable and responsive, and the local physics encourages the stuntman in everyone: jumping from bridges, drifting, maneuvering in dense traffic – all this is easy and spectacular. And if you remember that you can interfere with the city infrastructure – switch traffic lights, blow up manholes, slam gates in front of the police – the chases here are almost the best in the genre.
