The only thing Frontier Developments’ creation really lacks is any kind of macromanagement. Each outlet, attraction, and employee has to be managed individually, and the larger the park grows, the more routine this becomes. For example, the ability to mass train cocktail vendors or raise employee salaries en masse would make life much easier in the later stages of the game. In this regard, Planet Coaster remains rather superficial compared to complex city-building sims, but its scale, you must admit, is completely different.

Pros:

• Fantastic freedom to create your dream park
• Brings out your inner landscape designer
• The view of the park from above is a pure fairy tale. But the little people with their doll-like faces and beady eyes look, to put it mildly, an acquired taste.
• Light, pleasant music and the hum of the crowd create the right atmosphere. If only the squeals on the rides were louder, it would be perfect!
• Managing a park is a bit boring, but the process of creating it – from building architectural masterpieces to landscaping the area – is truly exciting.

Cons:

• Despite the many opportunities, management remains superficial
• There is no multiplayer
