LGD and Xtreme Gaming left BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024
Despite a promising start in the BetBoom Dacha Dubai tournament, LGD Gaming and Xtreme Gaming have already been eliminated from the playoffs after just two matches. This leaves the Chinese region with only one representative in the race – Azure Ray, who will be playing against Team Falcons today in the upper bracket.

Departure of LGD Gaming
LGD emerged as the winners of Group A with a record of 1 win, 4 draws, and 0 losses, which was no easy feat. The group consisted of formidable teams such as Gaimin Gladiators, Team Liquid, and Team Falcons. Managing to secure draws against all of them was certainly not a bad result. Naturally, LGD had high expectations heading into the playoffs.
However, their first match against BetBoom Team didn’t go according to plan. In both games, LGD opted for heroes with the potential to dominate the lanes and snowball their advantage between the 10th and 20th minute mark.
Meanwhile, BetBoom took a different approach by drafting for the late game, focusing on heroes that could withstand opponent pushes thanks to a sturdy offlaner like Dragon Knight and early skirmishes orchestrated by Chen. It worked out for them, even in the first game where they had to stage a comeback from an 8000 gold deficit.
In the lower bracket, LGD faced off against Team Spirit, the champions of Riyadh Masters and The International in 2023. And yes, the favorites truly outclassed them in that match as they realized they were losing both games within 31 minutes. Spirit’s drafts synergized perfectly and transformed into powerful combinations. Yatoro’s choice of Slark and Sven proved to be highly effective, and he performed exceptionally well on them.
Xtreme Gaming relegated
XG emerged as the winners of Group B with a record of 3 wins, 2 draws, and 0 losses, defeating Azure Ray and drawing against Spirit. These results clearly suggested that the team led by Ame would perform well in the playoffs. However, the opposite happened.
In the upper bracket match against Falcons, Xtreme Gaming struggled to deal enough damage in team fights. Their drafts were not bad, but the item builds followed by the team members were simply terrible. The games lasted over 50 minutes, and they consistently lost to a Naga Siren draft. They gave it away and paid the price for it.
In the second match against Team Liquid, Xtreme Gaming had to face Templar Assassin. It proved to be much more challenging than expected. Despite having apparent counters such as Viper, Ember Spirit, Phoenix, and Spectre, the Chinese team couldn’t halt TA’s progress and ultimately suffered a defeat.
