Karmine Corp and Team Liquid have secured the final two EMEA places at VALORANT Champions Shanghai, completing the region\u2019s four-team field during the VCT 2026 EMEA Stage 2 playoffs finals weekend in Barcelona, Spain. KC qualified by defeating FUT Esports in the upper final, while Liquid eliminated Fire Flux Esports for the last available berth. They join FUT and Team Vitality as EMEA\u2019s representatives in Shanghai. The results settled regional qualification, although the Stage 2 playoff bracket still has matches to play.<\/p>\n

The two series carried different pressure. FUT had already earned its Champions place through Championship Points before meeting KC, but KC\u2019s position rested on the upper-final result: a win would qualify the team, while two straight losses would end its race. KC instead moved directly into the grand final and turned a winless Stage 1 into Champions qualification. It is the organization\u2019s first VALORANT Champions appearance in its three years in the VCT. Liquid reached the same destination through the elimination side of the bracket. Fire Flux would have taken the remaining Shanghai place by making the grand final, making its meeting with Liquid decisive for both teams. Liquid\u2019s victory ended that possibility immediately, leaving Fire Flux fourth after its campaign. By the end of the day, no qualification route remained open to the lower-bracket field: the four EMEA representatives were set, while the playoffs shifted to deciding the final order of the remaining teams.<\/p>\n

KC turn upper-final win into qualification<\/h2>\n

Karmine Corp beat FUT 2-0, taking Lotus 13-6 and Haven 13-8. Lotus was KC\u2019s pick and had been undefeated for the team during Stage 2. The map quickly showed why. KC built a 10-2 attacking half by winning duels and converting polished postplants, creating a lead that FUT could not seriously threaten. Marshall “N4RRATE” Massey drove that opening map on Chamber. He collected 17 kills and four first bloods in the first half alone. FUT did put together several rounds from a bonus situation, but KC answered immediately and closed the map. N4RRATE finished Lotus at 25\/11\/3 with a 1.80 rating. That performance did not merely put KC ahead in the series; it left the team one map from the berth it had entered the day needing to win for. The series score and map outcomes provide the clearest record of how qualification was won: KC\u2019s four-match winning streak came after its only Stage 2 loss, which was against Fnatic in the group stage. The upper-final victory therefore extended a run that carried the team from that defeat to a place in Shanghai. It also confirmed an organizational first: KC will play at VALORANT Champions for the first time.<\/p>\n

Haven began in a much less comfortable fashion for KC. Neither team had lost on the map during this stage, and FUT took a 7-5 lead into the break. FUT had dropped the pistol round but recovered ground with two eco-round wins, giving the map a different texture from Lotus despite the same eventual series outcome. KC responded after halftime by equalizing with the pistol round. From 7-7, it began to create proactive picks and repeatedly convert advantaged retakes, turning the tied score into a 13-8 finish. N4RRATE again led the server with 21 kills. Across the series, he posted a 46\/24\/11 line, a 1.65 rating and 193 ADR. The qualification has a distinct player milestone as well as a team one. Avez, dos9 and LewN are set for their first global appearances within the VCT circuit. N4RRATE and SUYGETSU are the two KC players with a previous Champions appearance. That split gives KC an experienced pair alongside three players entering a global VCT event for the first time. Liquid deny Fire Flux the final place<\/h3>\n

Team Liquid claimed the final Shanghai berth with a 2-0 win over Fire Flux Esports. Haven and Lotus both finished 13-10, but each required Liquid to withstand a Fire Flux recovery after establishing a major defensive lead. Fire Flux chose Haven despite banning the map in four of its previous five matches. Liquid shut down Fire Flux\u2019s Chamber-Vyse composition with a 10-2 defensive half, repeatedly finding successful site holds and retakes on C. Fire Flux gained an opening back into the map with an eco-round win in round 14, then narrowed the gap to 11-9 by punishing Liquid\u2019s slow and separated attacking side. Liquid still found the rounds needed to complete the 13-10 opener. trexx topped the server on Sova with 25 kills and 323 ACS. Lotus followed a similar broad pattern without being a duplicate of Haven. Liquid again built a 10-2 defense and restricted Fire Flux across the map. nAts and kamo combined for 31 kills during that defensive half. A DeadInk 1v3 helped spark another Fire Flux comeback attempt after the interval, but Liquid held on for a second 13-10 result. The sweep secured Liquid\u2019s fifth Champions appearance. It also made the qualification mechanism straightforward: Liquid did not need another result to decide the final berth. Eliminating Fire Flux secured it, while Fire Flux\u2019s run ended in fourth place.
