**Horror+ Server** is the official **server-side** version of the Horror+ Fabric modpack.
\nIt is built specifically for hosting a Minecraft server and is **not intended to be used as a client modpack**, even though it may technically launch.<\/p>\n
This server modpack lets you run a Horror+ multiplayer server with **the exact same atmosphere and gameplay balance** as the client version, without unnecessary client-only mods.<\/p>\n
It features the full Horror+ experience:<\/p>\n
– **Enhanced terrain generation**
\n– **New biomes**
\n– **New hostile mobs**
\n– **New structures**
\n– **Corrupted entities**<\/p>\n
Your objective remains unchanged: **survive for as long as possible**.

### Installation options<\/p>\n
You have **3 official ways** to set up a Horror+ server:<\/p>\n
**1. Pre-configured server (recommended)**
\nDownload the fully pre-configured Horror+ server and follow the tutorial provided in the Google Drive.
\nThis is the fastest option if you want a **free** ready-to-run server. <\/p>\n
**2. Server modpack**
\nDownload the Horror+ Server modpack, extract it, and copy the `mods` folder into your Fabric server directory. <\/p>\n
**3. Mods folder only**
\nDownload the mods folder here. <\/p>\n
Then place the `mods` folder directly into your Fabric server directory. <\/p>\n

### Hosting options<\/p>\n
You can host the Horror+ server **yourself for free**, directly on your own hardware.
\nPerformance will depend on your setup.
\n\u26a0 Less than **16 GB RAM**, a **weak CPU**, or a **poor internet connection** may cause lag or crashes.<\/p>\n
You can use a **paid hosting provider**, which is generally simpler and avoids network configuration:<\/p>\n
– **BisectHosting** :
\n Starting at ~$16, recommended at least **6 GB RAM** <\/p>\n
– **Modrinth Hosting**:
\n Recommended at least **6 GB RAM** <\/p>\n
\u26a0 **Important for Modrinth Hosting**:
\nIf you use Modrinth as your host, you **must use the Horror+ Server modpack (this one)**, not the client modpack.
\nUsing the client version on a server host will not work correctly.<\/p>\n
Paid hosting keeps your server online 24\/7 and is easier to manage, but it is **more limited than self-hosting**, depending on the plan and hardware.<\/p>\n
