## Overview
\nHomeLimiter works with **EssentialsX** and **LuckPerms** to automatically enforce player home limits based on their highest active permission group.
\nWhen a player is promoted or downgraded, the plugin checks how many homes their new rank allows and adjusts accordingly. This ensures players never exceed the number of homes permitted by their current rank \u2014 and if their limit increases again later, their homes are automatically restored.
\nHomeLimiter also supports existing servers \u2014 all players are validated on startup to make sure their home count matches their rank.<\/p>\n

\n* If a player exceeds their limit, the **oldest homes are locked** \u2014 the most recently created homes are always kept<\/p>\n

\n* Homes without timestamps (set before installation) are sorted Z \u2192 A as a tiebreaker
\n* Protected home names (like `home`) are **never** locked
\n* Locked homes are **stored and restored automatically** if the player’s limit increases again<\/p>\n
\nIf the **VIP** rank allows 5 homes and a player is downgraded to a rank that allows only 2 homes, the 3 **oldest** homes are locked automatically.
\nIf the player is later re-promoted to VIP, those same 3 homes are restored \u2014 no data is lost.
