\n Grace guidance destination\n<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

Gracebound adds a **guidance trail** inspired by Elden Ring’s “Guidance of Grace”. It helps point you back toward important locations without opening a map or cluttering your screen.<\/p>\n

By default, Gracebound appears after death and guides you back toward your last known death location. If you hold a compass, the guidance changes based on the compass type instead.<\/p>\n

– **Death guidance** points toward your last death location `ON \/ configurable`
\n– **Recovery compass guidance** points toward your recovery compass target (aka death location) `Configurable \/ not required if “Death Guidance” is ON`
\n– **Regular compass guidance** points toward world spawn
\n– **Lodestone compass guidance** points toward the compass\u2019 linked lodestone
\n– **Cross-dimension protection** prevents misleading guidance when the target is in another dimension<\/p>\n

If grace cannot guide you across dimensions, the mod will let you know instead of pointing you in the wrong direction.<\/p>\n

Gracebound is designed to feel lightweight and atmospheric rather than intrusive. The trail renders as a twirling stream near the player, fading in and out smoothly as guidance becomes available or disappears.<\/p>\n

Current functionality includes:<\/p>\n

– A configurable **grace guidance trail**
\n– Automatic death-location guidance
\n– Compass-based guidance overrides
\n– Support for regular, recovery, and lodestone compasses
\n– Fade in\/out behavior
\n– Adjustable beam density, origin, distance, and vertical offset
\n– Optional client-side guidance messages
\n– Per-compass guidance toggles<\/p>\n

## Guidance Modes<\/p>\n

– **On Death**
\n – Gracebound appears when death guidance is available
\n – This is the default mode
\n– **Always Active**
\n – Gracebound stays active whenever a valid guidance target exists

\n – Disables Gracebound rendering<\/p>\n

## Configuration<\/p>\n

Gracebound includes in-game\/client configuration options for tuning how guidance behaves and looks.<\/p>\n

You can configure:<\/p>\n

– **Enable Fading**
\n – Toggles fade in\/out behavior
\n– **Fade In Ticks**
\n – Controls how quickly the guidance appears
\n– **Fade Out Ticks**
\n – Controls how quickly the guidance disappears
\n– **Beam Density**
\n – Controls how many wispy strands are drawn in the stream
\n– **Beam Origin Offset**
\n – Adjusts how far forward the stream starts from the player
\n– **Beam Start Distance**
\n – Adds extra distance before rendering begins
\n– **Beam Vertical Offset**
\n – Moves the trail origin up or down from eye level
\n– **Max Beam Distance**
\n – Controls the maximum visual guidance distance
\n– **Show Guidance Messages**
\n – Toggles small client-side status messages
\n– **Compass Guidance Toggles**
\n – Enable or disable guidance for:
\n – lodestone compasses
\n – recovery compasses
\n – regular compasses<\/p>\n

## Compatibility<\/p>\n

Gracebound currently includes optional compatibility support for:<\/p>\n

– **Xaero’s Minimap**
\n – Adds Gracebound guidance visuals to the minimap when available
\n– **Xaero’s World Map**
\n – Adds Gracebound guidance visuals to the world map when available
\n– **Antique Atlas**
\n – Adds Gracebound guidance overlays to the atlas when available<\/p>\n

These mods are optional. Gracebound can still be used without them.<\/p>\n
