## Glide Plate<\/p>\n
Glide Plate is a datapack that allows chestplates to function like Elytra while still providing armor.<\/p>\n
### What it does<\/p>\n
This datapack adds a smithing recipe that converts a chestplate into a \u201cGlide Plate.\u201d
\nA Glide Plate is a normal chestplate that has the built-in `glider` component, allowing the player to glide when it is equipped.<\/p>\n
The resulting item:<\/p>\n
* behaves like a normal chestplate
\n* allows Elytra-style flight
\n* keeps all properties of the original chestplate (enchantments, durability, trims, name, etc.)<\/p>\n

### Why use this datapack<\/p>\n
This datapack combines two armor slots into one:<\/p>\n
* You no longer need to swap between a chestplate and Elytra
\n* You keep full armor protection while flying
\n* It integrates cleanly into survival gameplay using the smithing table<\/p>\n
It is designed to feel like a natural extension of vanilla mechanics rather than a modded system.<\/p>\n

### How to use (Gameplay)<\/p>\n
Use a smithing table with:<\/p>\n
* Template: Nether Star
\n* Base: Any chestplate
\n* Addition: Elytra<\/p>\n
This will produce a Glide Plate of the same material as the base chestplate.<\/p>\n
