### Default Settings
\nThe modpack comes with **VERY optimized default settings** that prioritize performance on weaker systems like a MacBook Air. Many, if not most, users with gaming PCs will want to increase the graphics settings.<\/p>\n
### \ud83c\udfa8 Want Better Visuals?
\n1. **Increase shader quality preset** (default is “Potato”)
\n – Options \u2192 Video Settings \u2192 Shader Packs (top right)
\n – Select your shader \u2192 Shader Pack Settings \u2192 Choose a higher quality preset (Medium \u2192 High \u2192 Ultra)
\n2. **Increase Distant Horizons render distance** (default is 64 chunks)
\n – Options \u2192 Click the **Distant Horizons button** (small button to the left of FOV slider with DH logo)
\n – Increase LOD Render Distance to **256 chunks** for great results, or **512+ chunks** if your system can handle it
\n3. **Increase normal Minecraft render distance and simulation distance** (default is 6 render, 5 simulation)

\n3. **Optimize Particle Rain mod** if experiencing poor performance during rainstorms
