Welcome! This guide shows you, step by step, how to use FishPro:<\/p>\n
Quick commands
\n– \/fp menu \u2014 opens the main menu (Upgrade, Shop, Help)
\n– \/fp help \u2014 opens the Help menu<\/p>\n
1) Getting started
\n– Get a fishing rod.
\n– Type \/fp menu.
\n– You\u2019ll see:
\n – Upgrade: upgrade your rod using coins.
\n – Shop: buy cooked fish and sell raw fish.
\n – Help: quick info and a link to this guide.<\/p>\n
2) Earning coins
\n– Go fishing as normal.
\n– On catches, you have a chance to earn coins (the server sets the chance).
\n– Some servers only reward coins for real fish (Cod, Salmon, Pufferfish, Tropical Fish).
\n– Coin Booster (an upgrade) increases your chance to receive coins per catch.
\n– Your current coin balance is shown in menus as a gold ingot.<\/p>\n
3) Upgrading your rod
\n– Hold your fishing rod in your main hand.
\n– Type \/fp menu \u2192 click Upgrade.<\/p>\n
What you can upgrade:
\n– Lure I\u2013III
\n– Luck of the Sea I\u2013III
\n– Unbreaking I\u2013III
\n– Mending I (unlocks after Lure III + Luck III + Unbreaking III)
\n– Coin Booster I\u2013III (+ extra coin chance per catch)<\/p>\n
How buying works:
\n– Click an upgrade in the GUI.
\n– If you have enough coins and meet requirements, it\u2019s purchased.
\n– If your rod is fully maxed, the main menu shows (Maxed) in red and the Upgrade menu won\u2019t open.<\/p>\n
Back button:
\n– In the Upgrade menu, the top-right slot (arrow) returns you to the main menu.<\/p>\n
4) Using the Shop
\n Open:
\n– \/fp menu \u2192 Shop<\/p>\n
What you can do:
\n– Buy cooked fish:
\n – Cooked Cod, Cooked Salmon
\n – Left-click or Right-click buys 1
\n– Sell raw fish:
\n – Cod, Salmon, Tropical Fish, Pufferfish
\n – Left-click sells 1
\n – Right-click sells all of that fish in your inventory<\/p>\n
Item info shows:
\n– Price
\n– How many you have
\n– Total coins if you sell all (for sell items)
\n– Your current coin balance<\/p>\n
Notes:
\n– If an item has no price on this server, you won\u2019t be able to buy\/sell it.
\n– If your inventory is full you can\u2019t buy until you free space.<\/p>\n
Back button:
\n– In the Shop, the top-right slot (arrow) returns you to the main menu.<\/p>\n
5) Help menu
\n Open:
\n– \/fp help, or \/fp menu \u2192 Help<\/p>\n

6) Enchanting table and anvil (important)
\n Depending on this server\u2019s settings:
\n– If vanilla rod enchanting is disabled:
\n – Enchanting table:
\n – When you try to enchant a fishing rod, the slot shows a red barrier named \u201cEnchanting Rods are disabled.\u201d
\n – Use \/fp menu \u2192 Upgrade instead.
\n – Anvil:
\n – Trying to apply an enchanted book to a fishing rod shows a red barrier as the result and you can\u2019t take it.
\n – Renaming your rod is still allowed.
\n– If vanilla enchanting is allowed, the table\/anvil work as normal.<\/p>\n
7) Tips and common questions
\n– \u201cI can\u2019t open Upgrade.\u201d Hold a fishing rod in your main hand.
\n– \u201c(Maxed) in red?\u201d Your rod has every upgrade available here \u2014 nothing left to buy.
\n– \u201cRight-click doesn\u2019t work?\u201d Shift-right-click counts as right-click; shift-left-click counts as left-click.
\n– \u201cShop button does nothing on an item.\u201d That item likely has no price on this server.
\n– \u201cI didn\u2019t get the cooked fish I bought.\u201d Check if your inventory is full.<\/p>\n

\n– Cooked Cod\/Salmon: Left or Right-click = buy 1 (needs \u201cbuy\u201d price).
\n– Raw Cod\/Salmon\/Tropical\/Pufferfish: Left-click = sell 1, Right-click = sell all (needs \u201csell\u201d price).<\/p>\n
\n– Recommended: stop\/start the server after changes.
\n– Quick in-game reload: \/fp help \u2192 \u201cReload Configs\u201d (visible and usable only for OP). This re-reads config.yml, upgrade.yml, and shop.yml.<\/p>\n
\n– Location: plugins\/FishPro\/Players\/
\n – coins.yml \u2192 player\u2019s coin balance
\n – profile.yml \u2192 uuid, name, last_seen
\n– Created\/updated when the player joins.<\/p>\n
\n– Back button: Shop and Upgrade menus have a back arrow in the top-right.
\n– The Help menu intentionally has no back arrow (it has an \u201cOpen Menu\u201d button inside).
\n– Coin Booster boosts coin-chance only; it does not change Minecraft loot tables.
\n– If you disable vanilla rod enchanting, players get a clear, visual block (no chat spam) with a barrier item that says \u201cEnchanting Rods are disabled\u201d and a hint to use \/fp menu \u2192 Upgrade.<\/p>\n
\n– \u201cShop\/Upgrade clicks do nothing\u201d
\n – Ensure players click the GUI items (top inventory), not their own inventory below.
\n – Verify prices exist in shop.yml and upgrade.yml.
\n – Fully restart the server after updates (avoid \/reload if possible).
\n – Check console for errors on startup.<\/p>\n
\n – Folders are created when players join at least once.<\/p>\n
\n – Check features.disable_vanilla_rod_enchanting: true in config.yml.

\n – FishPro targets modern Paper\/Spigot builds (1.20+ recommended).
