# Direction HUD<\/p>\n
## Overview<\/p>\n
The Direction HUD mod displays useful player information such as facing direction, world time, coordinates, and more directly on the screen. All HUD elements are configurable and can be toggled on or off using commands. The state is saved between game sessions.<\/p>\n

## Features<\/p>\n
– **Direction Display**
\n Shows cardinal (N, S, E, W) and intercardinal directions (NE, NW, SE, SW) in the top left corner.<\/p>\n
– **Minecraft Days**
\n Displays the number of days passed in the current world (top left).<\/p>\n
– **Time Display**
\n Shows both:
\n – Real-world time (24-hour format)
\n – In-game time (12-hour format with AM\/PM and sun\/moon icons) in the top right corner<\/p>\n
– **Coordinate Display**
\n Shows current X, Y, Z coordinates above the hotbar.<\/p>\n
– **Biome Display**
\n Shows the current biome next to the coordinates.<\/p>\n
– **Coordinate Saving**
\n Save your current location with a custom name and retrieve it later.<\/p>\n
– **Toggleable Features**
\n Each HUD element can be enabled or disabled independently using commands.<\/p>\n
– **Persistent Config**
\n All preferences and saved coordinates are stored in:
\n `config\/direction-hud.json`<\/p>\n
– **Minimalist UI**
\n Clean, readable overlays with subtle backgrounds for visibility.<\/p>\n

## How It Works<\/p>\n
### 1. Initialization
\n– The mod loads configuration from `config\/direction-hud.json`
\n– Commands are registered using the `\/dh` namespace to avoid conflicts with other mods<\/p>\n
### 2. Direction Calculation
\n– The player\u2019s yaw angle is used to determine direction
\n– The 360\u00b0 circle is divided into 8 segments (45\u00b0 each):
\n – N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW<\/p>\n
### 3. Rendering
\n– Enabled HUD elements are rendered in their respective screen positions:
\n – **Top Left**: Direction + Minecraft days
\n – **Top Right**: Time (real + in-game)
\n – **Above Hotbar**: Coordinates + biome
\n– Each element includes a semi-transparent background for readability<\/p>\n
### 4. Command Handling
\n– All features are controlled via `\/dh` commands
\n– Changes are saved instantly to the config file<\/p>\n
