# Dimensional Threading ~~Reforged~~ Reforked<\/p>\n
Optimizes the processing of multiple Dimensions, by assigning them independent threads.
\nIt works on both the **client and server**, and **does not** require the mod to be installed on both sides.<\/p>\n
This is an unofficial fork of
\nDimensionalThreading-Reforged
\nwhich is also an unofficial port of
\nDimensionalThreading
\nby WearBlackAllDay.<\/p>\n

This port should be fully compatible with Embeddium, Immersive Portals and Oculus

\n**DimThread comes with 2 native Gamerules:**

\n– `\/gamerule dimthread_thread_count
\nDimThread aims to conserve vanilla-parity in all points.
\nAt the moment there are no known deviations in behaviour from Mojang’s`server.jar`.
\nIf you notice any, feel free to open an issue.<\/p>\n
\nAs stated above, this is **NOT** the case.
\nDimThread will always synchronize the dimensions it threads with each other,
\nsetting the overall MSPT to the slowest individual dimension.<\/p>\n
\nYes, but you will have to adjust the GameRule accordingly.<\/p>\n
\nNo, the mod can only assign one dimension to one thread.<\/p>\n
\nThe mod will not crash if you do not have enough threads available,
\nbut it will make the game **slower**. You should always have
\nat least`DimensionCount + 1`threads available.<\/p>\n
\nCompatibility with JellySquids performance mods and Carpet will be
\nensured and issues concerning them are accepted.
\nIf you plan on using a different mod compatibility cannot be guaranteed,
\nsince not every author writes their mod thread safe.<\/p>\n
\nSupported versions are 1.16.5, 1.18.2, 1.19.2 and 1.20.1. Nothing else.<\/p>\n
