# Custom Boss Template<\/p>\n
**A ready-to-use datapack template for creating your own custom boss in Minecraft 1.21+**<\/p>\n
This is not a finished boss \u2014 it\u2019s a **well-commented and easy-to-edit template** that allows you to create **any custom boss** you want, from a simple mob to an epic raid boss. Everything can be customized without deep knowledge of commands.<\/p>\n

### What You Can Easily Customize<\/p>\n
All main files are located in `data\/boss\/functions\/`. Here\u2019s exactly **what you can change and where**:<\/p>\n
1. **spawn.mcfunction** \u2014 Main file for spawning the boss
\n – Boss display name (`CustomName`)
\n – Entity tag (`muzhlan_boss` \u2014 you can change it to your own)
\n – Maximum health (`generic.max_health`)
\n – Attack damage (`generic.attack_damage`)
\n – Knockback resistance
\n – Items in main hand and offhand (with `custom_model_data`)
\n – Starting phase
\n – Spawn title and sound<\/p>\n
2. **setup.mcfunction** \u2014 Runs once when the world loads
\n – Bossbar title, color, and style<\/p>\n
3. **stages.mcfunction** \u2014 **The most important file** (controls all phases)
\n – All 10 phases (from 1000 HP down to 100 HP)
\n – When each phase activates based on health
\n – Boss messages in chat (`tellraw`)
\n – Effects on players (slowness, levitation, darkness, etc.)
\n – Effects on the boss (regeneration, strength, speed, etc.)
\n – Minion spawning (zombies, etc.)
\n – Particles
\n – You can freely add, remove, or modify any phase<\/p>\n
4. **tick_logic.mcfunction** \u2014 Boss attacks
\n – Attack frequency (currently every 3 seconds)
\n – Attack radius
\n – Damage type given to players (`instant_damage`)
\n – Attack sound<\/p>\n
5. **victory.mcfunction** \u2014 What happens when the boss is defeated
\n – Victory messages
\n – Particles and sounds
\n – Reward given to players (item, name, enchantments, etc.)
\n – Bossbar removal<\/p>\n
6. **loop.mcfunction** \u2014 Main game loop (recommended not to edit unless you know what you’re doing)<\/p>\n
### How to Get Started Quickly
\n1. Download and install the datapack into your world’s `datapacks` folder
\n2. Run `\/reload`
\n3. Use the command `\/function boss:spawn` \u2014 the boss will appear at your location
\n4. Open the folder `data\/boss\/functions` in any text editor (Notepad++, VS Code, etc.)
\n5. Edit the files according to the instructions above
\n6. Run `\/reload` again and test your boss<\/p>\n
