# Notable changes:
\n– Hardcore darkness: caves are now pitch black.
\n– To help you with the darkness, held light sources will emit light, letting you see without placing them.
\n– Mobs are much smarter and faster. They have new equipment, so watch out.
\n– Zombies slow you down now. _Will this make them on par with the other mobs?_
\n– The difficulty is locked to Hard.
\n– Some animals will now fight back.
\n– An alternative to Minecraft Hardcore: You will respawn in a random place.
\n– Sleeping has been overhauled. Time will pass quicker during sleep and you will regenerate health.
\n– Nightmares.
\n– Mobs don’t burn in the sun.
\n– Serene Seasons: some seasons are fertile, some are less.
\n– Spoiling: food now spoils. _Where can it store for longer?.._
