## What is ChatX<\/p>\n
ChatX is a modernized channel-based chat system that is compatible with backend inputting plugins, contains features that could only be done on the backend previously, and provides multiple channel types and features!<\/p>\n
– All messages support Minimessage!
\n– You only need to install this on your Velocity proxy! No backend plugins are required.
\n– Extremely configurable: You determine what the plugin does!<\/p>\n
## Features<\/p>\n
### Channels<\/p>\n
– Multiple channel types: Local, Global, Cross-server (Redis-based), and even private chat rooms
\n– Permission-based channels: Each channel can have custom permissions for sending and receiving.
\n– Insanely customizable: From the type of the channel to if we should pass through the message to the backend, or even quick prefixes such as ‘!’, everything can be configured to anything.<\/p>\n
### Chat modules<\/p>\n
– *Mention*: You can always type @someone in chat to make them hear a ‘ding’ sound to wake them up.
\n– *[item]* to show what is in your hand, even with a GUI. No backend plugin is needed for this.
\n– Rate-limiter and mute systems integrated into the system to prevent abuses. You may also use other plugins of your liking to achieve this; ChatX should respect their decisions.
\n– `\/chathistory` to view chat history in all channels
\n– `\/msg` and `\/reply` for private messages and quick reply<\/p>\n
## Cross-server<\/p>\n
– Set up a simple redis server for cross-server messages
\n– You may create cross-server channels, and \/msg can be used to directly message someone in another server.
\n– `\/online` to see who is online<\/p>\n

### Known compatibility issues
\n– If you are using LimboAPI, please set its compatibility mode in its config.yml to true for it to work properly with UniChat.<\/p>\n
