# Celestia: ENGLISH<\/p>\n

Celestia adds synchronized shooting stars and meteor showers to the Overworld night sky. The server decides when a meteor appears, calculates its position, movement, color and size, then sends the same event to every player in that world so everyone sees the same streak at the same time.<\/p>\n

## Compatibility<\/p>\n

Celestia is designed to be compatible with optimization and shader mods such as Sodium, Iris, Lithium and FerriteCore. It does not use mixins and does not replace Minecraft’s renderer.<\/p>\n

Shaders can change how translucent particles, bloom, fog and clouds look. Celestia uses visible-at-distance particles, bright colors and optional glow helpers so meteors remain readable in most shader packs.<\/p>\n
