This is a datapack made to make (IMO) armour more balanced.<\/p>\n
### Why?<\/p>\n
The armour system can be a little unbalanced, once you start a world, you probably get your iron armour after a little while (this isn’t changed) then you either go caving, maybe die, or you go strip mining in deepslate… OR you trade and zombify villagers and have cheap infinite diamond armour, well i think the villager trading is too op, so i wanted to change it.
\nIn 1.20 we also have the Netherite Smithing Template, which i dont think is the best system either, so i changed this as well.<\/p>\n
### How?<\/p>\n
Ok, we’ll go from early game to late game, so to start, i added a crafting recipe to chainmail armour, and changed the chain recipe so it isn’t more expensive than iron armour.<\/p>\n
The second thing i did is make villagers sell Broken Diamond Armour instead of regular armour, you can fix this armour with a custom recipe (which you can see in gallery)<\/p>\n
The third thing i changed is the Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template, first of all i changed the texture to match the other templates. I also changed the duplication recipe to be more complicated, but i also added it to the Nether Fortress loot table (10% chance, same as bastions other than treasure bastion). This makes Netherite harder to obtain, but IMO that’s needed.
\nYou can also upgrade Broken Armour straight to Netherite without fixing it.<\/p>\n

### Resourcepack<\/p>\n
Without the Resourcepack, the Broken armour will look like regular armour, and Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template will look like the regular minecraft one.<\/p>\n
If you are planning to use this on a server, i recommend using this as the Server-resourcepack or put the resources from this into your custom resourcepack.<\/p>\n
### Changing the Recipes<\/p>\n
You can change the recipes by going into the datapack files and replace the recipe files with the new recipe.<\/p>\n
For changing the recipe i recommend using TheDestruc7i0n’s crafting recipe generator.<\/p>\n
## \u2699\ufe0f Issues<\/p>\n
– In creative you can double equip broken armour and it will look like you equipped it (Minecraft issue, i can’t fix it)<\/p>\n
