# Atmospheric Shaders<\/p>\n
Atmospheric Shaders is a shader pack focused on sky rendering and lighting.
\nIt is designed to work with SimpleClouds and keeps visuals close to vanilla while improving atmosphere behavior.<\/p>\n
## What it changes<\/p>\n
### Sky and lighting<\/p>\n
The sky uses smoother gradients and better horizon blending.
\nLight diffusion and sky color transition more gradually across the day.<\/p>\n
### SimpleClouds integration<\/p>\n
Clouds react to time of day and lighting conditions.
\nThey are visually blended into the sky instead of appearing as a separate layer.<\/p>\n
### Weather awareness<\/p>\n
Sky brightness and color shift based on weather and biome context.
\nStorms and clear weather produce different ambient tones.<\/p>\n
### Visual style<\/p>\n
Colors are kept balanced.
\nBloom and post effects are limited to keep the image readable and stable.<\/p>\n
### Day and night transitions<\/p>\n
Dawn and dusk transitions are smoother with more natural color shifts.<\/p>\n
### Performance<\/p>\n
Effects are conservative and lightweight.
\nThe pack is intended to remain stable and usable on a wide range of systems.<\/p>\n
## Planned changes<\/p>\n
Cloud visuals will be refined further.
\nWater and fog behavior will be improved.
\nSky scattering and sun coloration will be adjusted.
\nSome visuals may later react to weather data such as storms or humidity.<\/p>\n

## SimpleClouds compatibility notice<\/p>\n
If you are using this with SimpleClouds, be aware that there are many incompatibilities.<\/p>\n
Before going to the comments saying that this mod does nothing, read this.<\/p>\n
Mods like Alexs Caves, Immersive Engineering, Distant Horizons and others break the fragile balance of the rendering pipeline.
\nThis results in depth and scene composition issues.<\/p>\n
I have been working on a fix for a long time but have not found a proper solution yet.<\/p>\n
If you are comfortable with GLSL or Java and think you might have an idea, feel free to help.<\/p>\n
