Vanilla Spice<\/u> is a resource pack that is basically just a texture pack but with a few 3D models and block variants. It aims to keep the overall _vanilla_ vibes of Minecraft by leaving most textures alone, but _spices_ it up by retexturing\/remodeling some lackluster blocks. <\/p>\n
Compatible with **1.14 to 1.21.10**. Minecraft may say it is “Incompatible” for any version other than 1.21.8, but it should still work.<\/p>\n
This resource pack includes:<\/p>\n
**Variants for:<\/u>**<\/p>\n
– short grass<\/u> (shorter short grass, sparser short grass, vanilla short grass, clovers, clover flowers, and 3D pebbles!)
\n– bookshelves<\/u> (a variety of textures with different probabilities to make large bookshelves look more organic; slightly fancier style to suit enchantment rooms and library builds)
\n– mushrooms<\/u> (small, medium, large, extra large, and cluster variants for both brown and red mushrooms; prettier designs in general; to compliment giant mushrooms, brown mushrooms have flat caps and red mushrooms have fuller caps with white scales)<\/p>\n
**3D models for:<\/u>**<\/p>\n
– ladders<\/u>! (still very vanilla in texture, just 3D)
\n– minecart rails<\/u>! (also vanilla in style, just 3D)
\n– pebbles<\/u> (technically a short grass variant; uses stone’s texture)<\/p>\n
**Remodeled:<\/u>**<\/p>\n
– fences<\/u> (unique 3D models for each color fence to add variety; nether brick fences are modeled after wrought iron fences for victorian\/goth builds)
\n– fence gates<\/u> (swing open at one hinge rather than being double doors, unique gate doors with custom textures designed after their respective door\/trapdoor textures)<\/p>\n
**Retextured:<\/u>**<\/p>\n
– andesite, diorite, granite<\/u> (and their polished versions to be more visually interesting and accurate to real life; polished diorite and granite are designed to work well as marble in builds)
\n– stained glass<\/u> (much more vibrant colors, sectioned into leaded panes to give a more traditional stained glass look; panes based on redstone lamps; clear glass has the same shaped panes but in vanilla white colors for a more vanilla feel)
\n– resin blocks<\/u> (including bricks and clumps, are given a more realistic deep amber color and shading, rather than flat orange)
\n– iron block, iron door, iron trapdoor<\/u> (deeper metallic grey color to better represent real iron; block has studs like copper; iron door retextured to suit a larger variety of builds)
\n– iron bars, copper bars<\/u> (more resemble old fashioned elevator gates rather than prison bars)
\n– lanterns<\/u> (have a wire grate to fit the vibes of the stained glass and iron blocks)
\n– carpets<\/u> (subtle knitted\/braided texture; added fringe to model; slightly warmer colors)
\n– bricks<\/u> (slight variation in color for each brick to make them less uniform)
\n– mud bricks<\/u> (slightly more grey with a different brick pattern to allow for versatile role in builds)
\n– red nether bricks<\/u> (fishbone brick pattern with brick color variation, also to allow for a more versatile role in builds)
\n– glowstone<\/u> (has a warmer glow from within and compliments netherrack better)
\n– rain<\/u>! (and rain particles to be whiter and more transparent for softer rain showers)<\/p>\n
**Tweaked:<\/u>**<\/p>\n
– iron chain<\/u> (recolored to match the leading in stained glass)
\n– chiseled bookshelves<\/u> (wooden sides better match normal bookshelves\/oak planks)
\n– nether bricks<\/u> (copied the small brick layer for the top brick layer to allow brick pattern to interlock correctly)<\/p>\n
**Possible future updates:<\/u>**<\/p>\n
– leaf litter variety (could be just in color of leaves, or also textures)<\/p>\n
**Notes:<\/u>**<\/p>\n
Optifine is not<\/u> necessary; this pack should work with or without shaders.<\/p>\n
Again this texture pack should work for Minecraft versions 1.14 through 1.21.10, just bypass the “incompatible” warning by clicking yes; worst case senario is some textures\/models are broken and you can just put this texture pack back on the “available” side. <\/p>\n
I do plan on making a Bedrock version of this pack, but it may take a while.<\/p>\n
If you prefer certain vanilla textures over mine, feel free to delete mine from the pack folder, just don’t upload my altered pack as your own. <\/p>\n
