# SweetLocks<\/p>\n
A nostalgic recreation of an old-fashion paid iron door plugin.<\/p>\n

## Introduction<\/p>\n
Back when I played on a 1.6 server around the 1.8 era, there was a feature called **Paid Door**.
\nYou simply placed a sign on the block above an iron door:<\/p>\n
– First line: `[lock]` (something like that, similar to the `[Private]` lock sign in Lockette)
\n– Second line: `Vault money price`, e.g. `100`
\n– Third line: empty
\n– Fourth line: flag – `I`, `O`, `E`, `NM`, `NP` mean:
\n – `I` = Allow entry
\n – `O` = Allow exit
\n – `E` = Require empty inventory
\n – `NM` = Require 0 Vault money
\n – `NP` = Require no potion effects<\/p>\n
This creates a paid door. Players pay Vault money to teleport to the other side,
\nperfect for lottery machines, security gates, etc.<\/p>\n
As far as I know, the original paid door plugin has been abandoned for a long time,
\nso I decided to reimplement and improve it. The logic is actually quite simple.<\/p>\n
## Legacy Version Compatibility Note<\/p>\n
Versions **below 1.14** only receive **limited support**.
\nThey are more likely to conflict with other plugins, and it is hard to identify which plugin causes the conflict.<\/p>\n
If any plugin runs `block.getState().update();` on a sign,
\nthe paid door will stop working.<\/p>\n
This is due to Bukkit’s old API.
\nOlder versions only use the deprecated `\u00a7` color code for formatting,
\nwhich erases text components the plugin uses to store data.<\/p>\n

## Permissions<\/p>\n
– `sweet.locks.create` \u2014 Allow creating paid doors
\n– `sweet.locks.bypass.tax` \u2014 Bypass tax on Vault money collected by the door creator
\n– `sweet.locks.bypass.distance` \u2014 Bypass distance limit for using paid doors (default: within 2.6 blocks)<\/p>\n
## Usage<\/p>\n
Just write `$lock` (or your custom keyword in config) on the **first line of a sign**.
\nOnce you finish placing the sign, a paid door with price `0 money` and allow entry\/exit will be created,
\nand the edit menu will open.<\/p>\n
The creator can **Shift + Right-click** the sign to open the edit menu,
\nwhere they can set the price and flags for the door.<\/p>\n
When a player **right-clicks** the door, it shows:
\n“Costs X coins to enter. Hold Shift + Right-click to enter\/exit.”
\nRight-click the sign to view door info.<\/p>\n
## Mechanism<\/p>\n
All paid door data is saved to the sign block using `item-nbt-api` which embedded into plugin.
\nTransaction notifications are stored in a local data file and sent\/cleared when the player logs in.<\/p>\n
– For **1.14+**: Data is stored in the block’s **PersistentDataContainer**.
