Leashed mobs can be vulnerable in ways many players don\u2019t expect.
\nIf a mob is pulled underwater \u2014 by a boat, a player, another mob, or currents \u2014 it can drown while still tethered.
\nMobs that are untied naturally float to the surface, but leashed mobs remain at risk.<\/p>\n

*Safe Leash* is a lightweight NeoForge mod for Minecraft 1.21.6+ that makes leash behavior safer and more predictable.<\/p>\n

## \u2728 What it does<\/p>\n
– When a leashed mob takes drowning damage:
\n – The leash is dropped as an item, freeing the mob
\n – The mob receives *Water Breathing* for 10 seconds to safely resurface <\/p>\n
This can be understood as the mob panicking, breaking free, and instinctively holding its breath long enough to reach the surface.<\/p>\n
