This resource pack overhauls all of the saddles equipped by the player; this includes those which are worn by **horses, mules, donkeys, skeleton horses, zombie horses, pigs, camels, and striders.**<\/p>\n
It does **not** make any changes to happy ghast harnesses or ravager saddles.<\/p>\n
If you’re looking to change either of those, consider trying out **Harnesses Aren’t Ghastly** and\/or **Ravagers Have Depth**!<\/p>\n

### Horses:<\/p>\n
The vanilla appearance of horse saddles has been mostly preserved, simply with added depth. However, saddles worn by the four major horse variants _(mules, donkeys, skeleton horses, and zombie horses)_ have all had significant changes, as explained below:<\/p>\n
– **Mule saddles** were changed to a light tan color to match with their bellies.<\/p>\n
– **Donkey saddles** are now a dark, desaturated shade of brown which complements their gray coats.<\/p>\n
– **Skeleton horse saddles** have a slightly different model than the rest; this was done to prevent clipping as well as to add some flair! Their design is based off of the color palette used by skeleton horses prior to 1.14.<\/p>\n
– **Zombie horse saddles** aren’t left out either: they’re now based off of rotten flesh!<\/p>\n
**NOTE:** To see the updated zombie horse saddles in-game, you’ll have to either spawn in a tamed zombie horse using commands, or download a mod\/datapack which allows them to spawn naturally. I’d recommend **Zombie Horses From Abandoned Villages** and\/or **Zombie Horsemen**.<\/p>\n

**Changes made in version 1.0.1:**<\/p>\n
– The models were tweaked to be much more pixel consistent. Previously, some parts of the model were scaled slightly differently which lead to annoying mixels.<\/p>\n
– As a result, the textures had to be tweaked as well to match the updated models.<\/p>\n
– The skeleton horse saddle has even less clipping now; the saddle is flush to the horse’s spine and the underneath is fully textured.<\/p>\n
– It’s been given an updated color palette as well! Previously, the skeleton horse saddle was based off of _strays_ rather than regular _skeletons_.<\/p>\n

### Undead Horse Variants:<\/p>\n
As of version 1.0.1, **Saddles Squared** has built-in compatability with **Undead Horse Variants**! Each of the mounts added by UHV have their own style of saddle.<\/p>\n
_Saddles Squared should be placed above Undead Horse Variants in your resource pack list._<\/p>\n
**NOTE: Undead Horse Variants** is **not** a requirement, **this resource pack functions with or without it.**<\/p>\n

### Pigs:<\/p>\n
**Pig saddles** have been translated into 3D with minimal changes — they remain just as orange as before!<\/p>\n
_All pig variants use the same model & texture for their saddles. As far as I’m aware, there’s no (reliable) method currently available to give them unique designs._<\/p>\n

### Camels:<\/p>\n
**Camel saddles** have only had one significant change, that being their color palette. In vanilla, camels have vibrant orange saddles much like pigs do, however, I find that it clashes poorly with their tan fur. As such, I’ve changed it to an ochre-yellow.<\/p>\n

### Striders:<\/p>\n
**Strider saddles** have had the most dramatic change in appearance: they’ve been almost completely overhauled! Their new color palette is based off of warped wart blocks and twisting vines now wrap around their bodies to keep their saddles secure.<\/p>\n
