# Quad Hotbar<\/p>\n
> Modified double hotbar mod that expands the HUD for more than 2 rows of hotbar.
\n> Currently supports Minecraft 1.21.9\u20131.21.11<\/p>\n
**Quad Hotbar** is a fork of the Double Hotbar mod, inspired by Multi Hotbar, Hot Baaaar, and Hysk LongHotbar.
\nIt retains **all** original Double Hotbar features while adding a new 2\u00d72 quad hotbar layout \u2013 essentially two double hotbars side by side, giving you 18 visible inventory slots at the bottom of the screen.<\/p>\n
> **Important**
\n> This mod does **not** actually expand your hotbar or inventory capacity. It only makes extra inventory rows visible and easier to manage.
\n> It is a **client\u2011side only** mod; no server installation is required.<\/p>\n
### Features
\n1. **Quad Hotbar Layout** \u2013 Four inventory rows are shown in two columns (left\/right).
\n2. **Smart Scrolling** \u2013 Mouse wheel scrolls through all 18 bottom slots. Moving from left (slots 0\u20138) to right (slots 9\u201317) automatically swaps your real hotbar with the bottom inventory row.
\n3. **Keybinds**
\n – Number keys `1\u20139` select the left bottom row; `Ctrl` + `1\u20139` select the right bottom row.
\n – Double\u2011tap a number (or `Ctrl` + double\u2011tap) swaps that single slot with the corresponding slot above.
\n – The swap key (default `R`) exchanges entire rows.
\n4. **All original Double Hotbar features** \u2013 hold\u2011to\u2011swap, double\u2011tap window, sound effects, etc. remain fully functional.<\/p>\n

The active row (where the selection highlight appears) switches dynamically between left and right as you scroll or use number keys. When crossing the border, the entire real hotbar is swapped with the bottom inventory row automatically.<\/p>\n

You can change all keybindings in the **Options \u2192 Controls** menu. The modifier key used together with `1`\u2013`9` and `R` is its own separate binding (`Quad Hotbar Modifier Key`).<\/p>\n
### Installation
\n1. Install **Fabric Loader** for Minecraft 1.21.9\u20131.21.11.
\n2. Install **Fabric API** and **Cloth Config API**.
\n3. Place the Quad Hotbar `.jar` file into your `mods` folder.
\n4. Launch the game. If you have **Mod Menu**, you can access the configuration screen directly in-game.<\/p>\n
### Configuration
\nThe mod uses **Cloth Config** to provide an in\u2011game config screen (Mod Menu recommended) which has all configurables settings from original Double Hotbar mod. You can also manually edit `config\/double_hotbar.json`(It shares the same config file with the original double hotbar mode).
\nKey options:
\n– `quadHotbar` \u2013 Enable\/disable the 2\u00d72 quad layout.
\n– `inventoryRow` \u2013 Which inventory row to show in double\u2011bar mode.
\n– `shift` \u2013 Vertical position of the extra hotbars.
\n– `renderCrop` \u2013 Crop height of the secondary hotbar background.
\n– `holdToSwap` \/ `holdToSwapBar` \u2013 Control the `R` key behaviour.
\n– `allowDoubleTap` \/ `doubleTapWindow` \u2013 Enable and configure double\u2011tap swapping.
\n– `wooshVolume` \u2013 Volume of the swap sound.
\n– `reverseBars` \u2013 Swap main hotbar and extra row positions.
