# Alternative Shader [AS]
\nAS is a powerful, but lightweight resourcepack, that almost fully rewrites minecraft’s graphic code (GLSL) to get incredible look with minimum performance impact, with a support of every block\/entity from any mod that you can think of<\/p>\n
AS Works completely on **client** and doesn’t require any mod, only using **Core Shaders**
\n## Installation Guide
\nThis is resourcepack, that **doesn’t require any mods**, so you just need to drag it into texturepack folder on 1.21.1 and turn on fabulous<\/p>\n
**Warning**: Officially AS distributed ONLY on modrinth, i do not recommend downloading it from any other source<\/p>\n

\n## This Resourcepack (Vanilla Shader) includes
\n– Generating PseudoPBR in Real Time
\n– Light Pathfinding (kind of, obviously only imitation)
\n– Realistic shadows
\n– Brighter graphics
\n### And much more!
\n# Known Issues
\n– Incompatibility with sodium and other mods, that changes minecraft rendering, or doesn’t support Core Shaders
\n### Recommendations
\n– Highly recommended to use **Fabulous**, Fast or Fancy would break some parts (Only to 2.0+ Versions)
\n– Recommended to use AS with **more than 8 render distance**<\/p>\n

\n**2.7** will be one of the biggest updates yet, including
