# Modern Manhunt (Datapack)<\/p>\n
A **Minecraft Java datapack** that recreates the classic *Manhunt* game mode, modernized to use the **locator bar** instead of a compass and an easier start of the game.<\/p>\n
**This pack was born during a Manhunt session where we realized the experience could be far smoother and more intuitive than what was available.**<\/p>\n
## Supported Versions<\/p>\n
* **Minecraft Java 1.20 \u2192 1.21.11** (Tested on 1.21.11, should be compatible with other supported versions)
\n* Fully vanilla & server-friendly **(Note that this pack will affect all players on a server, even ones without a team, to some extent)**<\/p>\n
## What This Datapack Does<\/p>\n
* Adds a simple Manhunt setup with **Hunters vs Runner**
\n* Uses **Locator Bar** instead of a tracking compass
\n* Includes:<\/p>\n
* 30-second PvP grace period with countdown
\n * Automatic PvP toggle
\n * Win & loss detection
\n * Clean stop\/reset command<\/p>\n
## Core Gameplay Rules<\/p>\n
### Teams<\/p>\n
* **Hunters**<\/p>\n
* Blue names
\n * Cannot transmit waypoints (runner cannot track hunters)<\/p>\n
* **Runner**<\/p>\n
* Red name
\n * Objective: survive and kill the Ender Dragon<\/p>\n
### Win Conditions<\/p>\n
* Runner dies somehow \u2192 **Hunters win**
\n* Ender Dragon dies \u2192 **Runner wins**<\/p>\n
