This is **Modern Font Pack – Caxton Edition**, which provides better font smoothing than **Modern Font Pack – Standard Edition**. Fonts are taken from the Noto Sans font family commissioned by Google. It requires the Caxton mod created by flirora to work.
\n <\/p>\n
There are five major versions as follows:
\n– **JP**: CJK font is **Noto Sans Japanese**.
\n
\n– **KR**: CJK font is **Noto Sans Korean**.
\n
\n– **CN**: CJK font is **Noto Sans Simplified Chinese**.
\n
\n– **TW**: CJK font is **Noto Sans Traditional Chinese**.
\n
\n– **HK**: CJK font is **Noto Sans Hong Kong**.
\n<\/p>\n
**Due to technical limitations, what you need to know is:**
\n1. When loading a resource pack for the **first time**, it may take a few minutes because Caxton mod needs to cache the resource pack’s font files.
\n2. Some characters may not have *italic* variants, which causes those characters that appear in *italic text* to always be displayed in regular variants. This limitation exists in Caxton versions 0.5.5 and below, and 0.7.0 and above, but not in versions 0.5.6 to 0.6.0.
\n3. Similar to the previous point, some characters do not have a **bold** variant, which causes those characters that appear in **bold text** to always be displayed in regular variants. This limitation exists in all versions of Caxton.
\n4. In Caxton versions 0.4.12 and below, doing any of the following while this resource pack is loaded may **crash the JVM**, thus causing **all resource pack be deactivated**:
\n – Changing the mipmap level.
\n – Changing the language.
\n – Activating or deactivating resource packs, or changing the order in which resource packs are sorted.
\n – Reloading resource packs. <\/p>\n
The format of the resource pack file name is **`MFP-Caxton-[Version Category][Version Number][CJK Type].zip`**, where:<\/p>\n
**1. `[Version Category]`:**
\n – **`08`** represents that the resource pack is suitable for **version 1.18.2**.
\n – **`09`** represents that the resource pack is suitable for **version 1.19.2**.
\n – **`10`** represents that the resource pack is suitable for **version 1.19.3**.
\n – **`11`** represents that the resource pack is suitable for **version 1.19.4**.
\n – **`12`** represents that the resource pack is suitable for **versions 1.20 and 1.20.1**.
\n – **`13`** represents that the resource pack is suitable for **versions 1.20.2 and above**. <\/p>\n
**2. `[Version Number]`**: Start from **`00`**. Every time it is updated, the number will increase by **`1`**. <\/p>\n
**3. `[CJK Type]`:**
\n – **`J`** represents that the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard in **Japan**.
\n – **`K`** represents that the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard in **Korea**.
\n – **`C`** represents that the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard in **China**.
\n – **`T`** represents that the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard in **Taiwan**.
\n – **`H`** represents that the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard in **Hong Kong**. <\/p>\n
For example:
\n1. If you want to use the resource pack that can be used in **version *1.18.2***, and the **Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard in *Taiwan***, the file to be downloaded is “MFP-Caxton-**08**02**T**.zip”.
\n2. If you want to use the resource pack that can be used in **version *1.19.2***, and the **Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard in *Hong Kong***, the file to be downloaded is “MFP-Caxton-**09**02**H**.zip”.
\n3. If you want to use the resource pack that can be used in **version *1.19.4***, and the **Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard in *China***, the file to be downloaded is “MFP-Caxton-**11**02**C**.zip”.
\n4. If you want to use the resource pack that can be used in **version *1.20.1***, and the **Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard in *Korea***, the file to be downloaded is “MFP-Caxton-**12**02**K**.zip”.
\n5. If you want to use the resource pack that can be used in **version *1.21.10***, and the **Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard in *Japan***, the file to be downloaded is “MFP-Caxton-**13**02**J**.zip”. <\/p>\n
If your country or region **does not use Chinese characters**, **you do not need to pay attention to the *Chinese character standard* in the `[CJK Type]` field**. You just need to **pay attention to the `[Version Category]` field**. <\/p>\n
