# Alchemical Infusions
\n## Redesign of alchemy & enchanting in minecraft<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
_This mod adds 2 blocks, which recipes will be unlocked in your recipe book with the obtaining of an iron ingot._<\/p>\n
Firstly, Alchemical Infusions adds the Alchemy set to make potion crafting fast & effective as well as push the possibility of potion combinations, levels & durations to a more useful level.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
– Input Slots (blue)
\n– Output Slot (red)
\n– Fuel Slot (orange)<\/p>\n
**Fuel:**
\n– Sticks
\n– Click the Fuel slot with Flint and Steel to initiate the recipe\u00a0<\/p>\n
_Ingredients are items that have been assigned potion effects to descriptions, which otherwise would not have them (like tulips,\u00a0saplings etc.)_<\/p>\n
_Splash & Lingering bottle variants have also been added, which you can make\u00a0simply by cycling them in a crafting table with the vanilla glass bottle._<\/p>\n
**Potion Creation:**
\n– Put 2 ingredients with shared effect into the input slots
\n– Put an empty bottle of your choice into the output slot
\n– Ignite<\/p>\n
**Potion Distillation:** _(To increase potency at cost of duration)_
\n– Put a potion into the output slot
\n– Ignite<\/p>\n
**Potion Prolongation:**
\n– Put a potion into the output slot (only base potency works)
\n– Put an ingredient with shared effect into an input slot
\n– Ignite<\/p>\n
**Potion Combination:**
\n– Put 2 potions into the input slots
\n– Put an empty bottle of your choice into the output slot
\n– Ignite<\/p>\n
**Arrow tipping:** _(With matching duration)_
\n– Put a potion into the input slot
\n– Put an arrow into the output slot
\n– Ignite<\/p>\n

Secondarily, Alchemical Infusions adds an Infusion anvil block, which allows to apply potions directly to items to enchant them on a basic level & catalysts to increase these levels to maximum.<\/p>\n
**Enchanting:**
\n– Apply a potion to an item to enchant it with the corresponding Effect \u2192 Enchantment<\/p>\n
**Catalysts:**
\n– Apply catalysts to increase the level of an enchantment\u00a0by 1.<\/p>\n
_Catalysts are items that have been assigned enchantments to descriptions, which otherwise would not have them (like diamond, obsidian etc.)_<\/p>\n

As of right now, a lot of the\u00a0ingredients have semi-random assortment of effects, for my creativity is limited. If anyone wishes to tweak the effects \/ durations, I may merge it into a next version of the mod.<\/p>\n
Alchemical Infusions also has datapack integration to make any in-game item a potion ingredient, any effect linked to any enchantment and any item to become a catalyst.<\/p>\n
With the priority system, any higher priority .json can override entries from lower priority ones, so you can completely change the way your modpack integrates it – in theory, even modded effects and enchantments.<\/p>\n
All you have to do is make a datapack with data\/alchemy\/infusions.json<\/p>\n
