Another set of quick upper bracket series at DPL-CDA Professional League Season 2 today would see both PSG.LGD and Royal Never Give Up dropping into the lower bracket, where they would need to fight for their tournament lives.

After PSG.LGD were sent into the lower bracket by EHOME’s fantastic Techies pick, CDEC Gaming dropped Royal Never Give Up down in a long 2-0 series too. The two teams were not set for a best-of-three in which the losing squad would see an early elimination from the DPL-CDA Pro League Season 2, joining Sparking Arrow Gaming as the teams eliminated in the first round of playoffs.

Right off the start of the series, LGD looked ready to dominate as they claimed an early lead in game one and never let it slip away as they pummeled RNG into submission. Although the game lasted over 40-minutes, with RNG finding some decent high ground defenses, it was not enough to hold off the onslaught for too long.

While LGD seemed to have control of game two and were heading for a swift series victory, they seemed to start making some huge errors, gifting RNG a chance to make their way back into the game – which they gladly took. Even though they had an advantage thrown their way, RNG could not hold onto it for very long, as LGD fought back and ensured a quick end to the series. The final fight even saw Du ‘Money’ Peng’s Skeleton King pick up a Divine Rapier but have absolutely no effect in crushing the LGD lineup.

With that, PSG.LGD’s 2-0 victory secures their movement forward in the lower bracket of the DPL-CDA Pro League Season 2, where they now await their next challenger – for RNG, their tournament ends with an extremely poor result after having third place finishes at a host of recent events.
