China’s regional closed qualifier for ESL One Los Angeles is almost at an end, with Invictus Gaming and Royal Never Give Up taking the first two spots for the region at the Major.

While all other regions have completed their closed qualifiers for ESL One Los Angeles, the next Major on the Dota 2 Pro Circuit calendar, the Chinese teams are still fighting to see which teams will make it to the event. With the likes of PSG.LGD and Vici Gaming not attending, this gave many of the smaller teams a chance to show off their skills. From the group stages, it was Invictus Gaming, EHOME, Royal Never Give Up and Team Aster who made their way into the playoffs – where three of the four would claim a spot in LA.

Earlier today both iG and RNG were the first two to go through to the Major from the region, leaving both Aster and EHOME to fight for the final spot tomorrow. While the losing team will not be completely out of the running, they will be heading to the Minor qualifiers – joining the likes of Newbee, Avengerls and Keen Gaming as fight for the single spot at the StarLadder ImbaTV Season 3 Minor.

For RNG, this will be their first Major of the season, after managing to claim second place in January’s WePlay! Bukovel Minor. Invictus Gaming continue their run at Majors, with this now being their third in the season – with some rather fantastic results so far.

Tomorrow we will find out if it will be EHOME or Aster who join these two teams representing China at ESL One Los Angeles and the China qualifier for the StarLadder ImbaTV Season 3 Minor will also get underway.
