Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras has publicly accused his former Counter-Strike organization Monte of owing him tens of thousands of dollars. The former Monte player said the alleged outstanding amount concerns late salary payments, performance bonuses, prize money, and a share connected to the ongoing IEM Cologne Major sticker sale.<\/p>\n

Bymas made the allegation in a post on X after Monte published material criticizing the way he, Aur\u00e9lien “afro” Drapier, and Oscar “AZUWU” Bell left for Luminosity. He had spent about a year with Monte before departing in early July, according to the reports, and was later benched by Luminosity.<\/p>\n

The disagreement is not limited to Bymas’ own claimed payments. He said that multiple former players and the coach were also owed substantial amounts, although neither report identifies those people or provides amounts for their alleged claims. Monte has rejected Bymas’ description of the debt while acknowledging that payment delays occurred.<\/p>\n

The dispute developed publicly after Monte CEO Dmytro Vovk released a YouTube video addressing the players’ move to Luminosity. The reports say Vovk criticized Bymas, afro, AZUWU, and their agents over how the departures were handled, stating that the organization and teammate Jack “Gizmy” von Spreckelsen had not been informed before the IEM Cologne Major while extension negotiations with Monte were still taking place.<\/p>\n

Bymas connected his decision not to renew with Monte to what he described as recurring payment delays. At the same time, Monte did not deny that delays had happened. The organization attributed them to delayed transfer and sponsorship payments rather than to its own actions.
