CDL Major One 2024 – Results

It’s time for another exciting season of the Call of Duty League. After one of the longest off-seasons in esports history, the Call of Duty CDL 2024 season officially kicks off on December 8th with online qualifiers for Major One.

In each of the 12 CDL franchises, seven best-of-five series have taken place for teams to determine their seeding in the first LAN tournament of the year, which will be held in Boston from January 25th to 28th. As expected in any Call of Duty esports off-season, since the New York Subliners lifted the trophy at CoD Champs 2023 in June, there have been numerous changes in rosters, rules, and formats. Every team, including the reigning champions Subliners, has made at least one roster change ahead of the 2024 season.

Some of the most significant roster changes have occurred in OpTic Texas, where two top rookies have joined the team. Envoy will showcase his talents with the Toronto Ultra, and Atlanta FaZe managed to sign Draza. Furthermore, several organizations have undergone rebranding. Miami Heretics not only acquired the slot of the Florida Mutineers but also absorbed the identity of a former CDL participant. Royal Ravens relocated and moved from London to Carolina.

The new season also signifies a time to compete in a new game. However, at the time of the launch, MW3 only featured original maps from MW2. This means that long-time franchise fans will find it easier to familiarize themselves with the new game version, as there will be many maps they are already acquainted with to watch this year. Speaking of broadcasts, the CDL is now exclusively streamed on YouTube again after being available on both Twitch and YouTube last year.
