The Russian Counter-Strike 2 player Gokushima (real name — Erkhan Bagynanov) came to esports in 2021 and literally from the first games made it clear: the guy is not from the rank and file. He confidently played against top players like s1mple, showing not just accuracy and reaction, but the real excitement of the competition. Since then, he has won more than a hundred professional tournaments, about thirty—five major events and a whole collection of awards: two gold, three silver and three bronze. The most high—profile achievement was the second place in the ESL Challenger League, season 46. For the team, this was not just a victory, but a real breakthrough: fans began to recognize them by their nicknames, and good prize money dripped into the account. In total, Gokushima earned about $7,000 during his career, and this money is rather a symbol of how consistently he performs against rivals of any level.

First steps and commands

Erhan made his debut in the fall of 2021 at the IEM XVI Fall, where he played for INDINDA for the first time. Then the result turned out to be far from ideal — the team did not make it to the top, and it became a cold shower for all participants. But that's exactly how it all started: the first experience, the first mistakes, the first conclusions. Next up is PGL Major Antwerp 2022, already part of HOTU. With each new tournament, Gokushima became more confident, more mature and calmer in the game. In a few years, he managed to play for four teams, and each one left its mark:
  • INDINDA is a debut, only 3 matches, but the first step is always the most important.
  • HOTU has more than 45 games and about $3,000 in prize money, and it started playing on stage here.
  • WTC (Wu-Tang Clan) — 9 matches and another thousand in the piggy bank, an experience that hardens.
  • FRZ (FORZE) is the main and most successful stage: over 60 matches and more than $3,000 in prize money.

Tournaments and awards

Gokushima is no stranger to esports for a long time. He entered the arena in such major tournaments as:
  • ESL Challenger at DreamHack Jönköping 2024
  • Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2024
  • ESL Challenger League Season 47
  • ESL Challenger at DreamHack Melbourne 2024
  • Skyesports Masters 2024
Sometimes the results were not encouraging, but participation in tournaments of this level is an indicator in itself: he consistently stays among the strongest, without losing ambition and drive. Main achievements:
  • Twice Champion — SCL Season 8 (February 2023), SCL Season 9 (May 2023)
  • Three times silver medalist — ESL Challenger League Season 46, ESEA Advanced Season 46, LxT Season 1
  • Three bronze medals — FRAG Season 10, ECO, CCT S1 EEU #4
  • Notable wins — stable appearances in the playoffs of regional and international tournaments

Recent performances

At the beginning of 2024, Gokushima had a busy season with FRZ, showing excellent individual results. A few examples are almost statistics, but you can feel confidence behind them.:
  • Against BB (SM 2024) — 28 kills and +10 K/D, ADR 103.8;
  • Vs VP.P — 15 kills, ADR 89.4, confident positive stats;
  • Against Apeks (ECL S47) — over 70% KAST, excellent teamwork.
His style is accurate shooting, quick adaptation, and composure at times when others' hands start to shake. It is in such clutches that he reveals himself to the fullest.

Playing style and reputation

Gokushima is renowned for its flexibility and ability to adapt to any situation. In the decisive rounds, he acts without fuss — clearly, with a cool head. These are the players who make the difference when the score is 15:14 and a mistake is worth the match. He's growing every season — in numbers, in confidence, in the game. Today, Gokushima is a name that is increasingly heard on the CS2 scene alongside experienced pros. And judging by its trajectory, it's definitely not going to stop.
