Call of Duty Warzone Mobile has become a truly powerful addition to the legendary battle royale universe. This is the same Warzone, only now it’s always in your pocket. Fast, tough shootouts, tense moments on the verge of failure, and a familiar drive — Activision has carefully transferred all this to mobile devices. The game is available on Android and iOS, so you can literally break into the match at any moment. A couple of minutes of waiting, a short break, a free window on the road — and now you’re already in the thick of things, and not just flipping through the feed.

But almost immediately, players had a logical question: what about the cross-platform game and cross-progression in Warzone Mobile? Cross-play would give players from different devices the opportunity to meet in matches, expanding the pool of rivals and making the game more lively. And cross-progression is generally a sore point for many: I want all the earned progress, skins and purchases not to disappear when switching between platforms, but to move on with you.

For a while, there were more rumors than specifics surrounding these functions. Activision was in no hurry to make big statements, and the anticipation only fueled interest. Nevertheless, Warzone Mobile already offers everything that the series is loved for: bouncy gameplay, a juicy picture and a dynamic map that constantly keeps you in suspense. If you want to get into the hottest shootouts, play carefully with the team, or just explore the map, the game gives you the opportunity. And then it all comes down to updates. It remains to follow the news and hope that the developers will take the next step towards the players.

Warzone Mobile: Cross-platform game and cross-progression

And that’s where the fun begins. In the official blog dedicated to the global release of Warzone Mobile, the developers confirmed that there really is a cross-progression. Moreover, it is implemented without unnecessary difficulties. If you use one Activision account, all your progress is easily transferred between platforms. Content from Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone syncs with Warzone Mobile and vice versa. The player’s level, prestige, accumulated experience, weapons, camouflage, shopping in the store — all this remains with you. Even the battle pass and its rewards, including the BlackCell version, will not have to be upgraded again.

Special attention was paid to the social part. Warzone Mobile has a shared list of friends, chats, and other social features that work on all platforms at once. Simply put, you don’t lose contact with the team, even if you play on different devices. In one of the latest blog updates, the developers also mentioned chevrons and symbols, visual elements that will add personality to the game. They will help highlight achievements and highlight the unique features of the profile. All this suggests that Warzone Mobile is not developing hastily, but with an eye to a long life and a single ecosystem.

Warzone Mobile: Cross-progression and differences between platforms

During the worldwide launch of Warzone Mobile, the developers revealed even more details. The main focus is again on cross-progression. Link your Activision account, and your achievements become common to the mobile version, PC, and consoles. Most of the content from Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3 seamlessly integrates into Warzone Mobile. Levels, prestige, experience, arsenal of weapons, camouflage, shop — everything syncs automatically. The same goes for the combat pass, including the rare and coveted BlackCell version.

Social functions continue this idea of a “single space”. A shared list of friends and communication channels allow you to stay in touch with your teammates, regardless of who is playing and where. Additionally, chevrons and symbols have been introduced into the game — they help distinguish content from Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3 from elements specific to Warzone Mobile or other platforms. A small thing? Maybe. But it is precisely such details that make the profile vivid and memorable.

However, there is also a limitation: a full-fledged cross-platform battle between mobile players and PC or console users is not yet available. That is, mobile gamers do not get into matches with “big” platforms. But the developers have already confirmed plans for crossplay between Android and iOS, which means that the mobile community will become even denser over time. Even without this, Warzone Mobile remains a rich, dynamic and visually impressive action game. And if you take into account the regular updates and development of the project, you definitely won’t be bored here.
