With the recent shock to the French scene following the StarLadder Major in Berlin, several rosters are looking to fill the gaps. One roster is that of Team Vitality which benched Nathan “NBK” Schmitt following the teams quarterfinals exit at the hands of AVANGAR.
A report from 1pv.fr has claimed that Vitality is eyeing two potential candidates and you should be very familiar with them both. Fabien “kioShiMa” Fiey could be making his return to the French scene finally after recently being either a free agent or a Cloud9 member as he’s being targeted. On the other side, Richard “shox” Butterfly is on the menu given his recent removal from G2 Esports alongside Lucas “Lucky” Chastang.
As stated above, kioShiMa comes without a buyout and is definitely the best move monetarily speaking, at least in the short term. He’s been away from action consistently for awhile now though and isn’t quite what shox is at peak levels.
shox has been struggling for quite some time though, unable to reach the same performance that saw him brought into a super team alongside Kenny “kennyS” Schrub.
Both players have a wealth of experience at the top level and have competed on the best teams in the French scene during the regions heyday.
Is this the move that Vitality needs to become a consistent force? Let us know in the comments or on social media!
