Dota 2 fans are in for a treat with three regions competing at Dota Summit 13 this week. While the teams from Europe and CIS are only starting the group stage matches, the competitors in Southeast Asia and Americas have reached the playoffs stage.
In the Americas battle, Quincy Crew have once again dominated the group play to secure an upper bracket start in the playoffs. With their 17-1 score, QC are undoubtedly the team to watch in the playoffs, as they could land at the end of the week their eighth tournament victory.
Quincy Crew’s only loss in the group stage came at the hands of Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao’s stack, Team Zero. EE-sama and co are also going to start the playoffs from the upper bracket, along with 4 Zoomers and Thunder Predator, the latter being the only South American team to have secured an upper bracket spot.
Infamous, Team Brasil, catJAMMERS and beastcoast are bound to fight through the lower bracket elimination rounds and their journey will start later today. beastcoast will open the playoffs with a best-of-three series against Team Brasil scheduled at 22:00 CET/13:00 PST, followed by the Infamous versus catJAMMERS, second elimination match of the day. The upper bracket semifinals are scheduled for November 5, with Quincy Crew going up against Thunder Predator and 4 Zoomers fighting against Team Zero.
