TEAM TEAM started to slowly reveal their new members. Perhaps not surprising at all for many of the Dota 2 fans, Eric “Ryoya” Dong has already joined TEAM TEAM (TT) at their practice facility and will travel with the squad to the MDL Disneyland® Paris Major.

It’s been an interesting season for Ryoya, who actually locked himself in with TEAM TEAM at the beginning of the current Dota Pro Circuit. Five months later, he left to join Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao’s latest project at that time, Flying Penguins. EE and Ryoya qualified and traveled to the StarLadder ImbaTV Minor in March, but finished just top four. The failure came with immediate roster changes, while Ryoya kept his spot, EE brought in another old friend of his, Pittner “bOne7” Armand, who played position 5 support in the MDL Paris Major qualifiers next to Ilya “Lil” Ilyuk. The bizarre new Flying Penguins line-up lasted for exactly one day as EternaLEnVy left the nest right after they failed in the MDL Disneyland® Paris Major qualifiers.

Ironically, it was exactly TEAM TEAM who eliminated the Flying Penguins in the first wave of opens qualifiers. Five days ahead of the closed regional qualifiers for the same Major, TT replaced their carry with Envy and proceeded to deliver quite the upset in NA by claiming one of the 3 tickets to the Major. Last week, during the ESL One Mumbai they decided it would be rather ok to kick both Nico “Gunnar” Lopez and Jason “Newsham” Newsham, and for this specific move, they faced a huge wave of backlash from the community.

Ryoya is now the first to return home, reunited with EE-sama at TEAM TEAM. The squad hasn’t announced their final piece of the puzzle, but the wait can’t be too long.

The MDL Disneyland® Paris Major will kick off on the 4th of May with 16 teams fighting for the spoils.
