London Spitfire has added a new member to their organization. British Hurricane has been added and is all set to compete in the second season of Overwatch Contenders. With both of these teams owned by Cloud9, British Hurricane will initially boast  a full European roster and sport the colors of dark and light blue. The Overwatch Contenders league is set to begin in March with each of the 12 Overwatch League franchises placing a team in the highly-anticipated development league.

According to the release:

“Like Spitfire, the name Hurricane was chosen as a homage to an iconic British aircraft used by the Royal Air Force. The Hawker Hurricane was introduced in 1937 and played a decisive role in the Battle of Britain as it flew alongside Britain’s other famous World War II warplane, the Supermarine Spitfire.”
