In another significant move in the North American LoL Championship Series, Golden Guardians announced the acquisition of support Kim “Olleh” Joo-sung. Olleh spent 2018 with Team Liquid, winning both the Spring and Summer splits, while also attending the Mid-Season Invitational and World Championship this year. He previously spent time with paiN Gaming in 2014, Hong Kong Esports from 2015-2016, and Immortals in 2017.

Olleh served as part of a Team Liquid super team that dominated the NA LCS, but struggled to match his still with Yilliang “Doublelift” Peng. At international events, he and Team Liquid often struggled to replicate domestic results, falling out of the group stage at both MSI and Worlds this year. Moving forward with Golden Guardians, it is likely that Matthew “Deftly” Chen will be an easier duo partner to work with.

Golden Guardians recently announced the acquisition of Kevin “Hauntzer” Yarnell and continue to improve their lineup for 2019. With Olleh and Hauntzer so far, the veteran presence is significantly larger going into 2019. Both players have attended international tournaments and won domestic splits in the NA LCS.
